O God, our help in ages past, our hope for years to come; our shelter from the stormy blast, and our eternal home. A pleasant and wonderful morning to our Patriarch, my Archbishop, Queen Abbess, all ministers, members, friends and well wishers of The Mystical Order of Spiritual Baptist Inc, I greet you in the mighty name of Jesus. The hymn goes on to say, time like an ever rolling stream, bears all it’s sons away; they fly forgotten as a dream, and dies at the opening day. Almighty God, we thank You for this privilege that You have granted us the opportunity to behold another day, we thank You that we’re still on the land of the living, hereby giving You thanks, and praises, please have mercy upon us, our friends and families, remember all those who call on Your name King Jesus, even those who have not learned to love You yet. Master shower us with Your blessings and guidance as we tarry throughout this day in Jesus Almighty name. Amen!
Beloved Sunday gone was a wonderful day also a solemn one being Mother’s Day. It was indeed a blessing for me to have read inspiring words from one of our Abbess mothers’ — Honourable Janet McClean. I pray that the good Lord grant her the opportunity to feed us a little more often. Praise the Lord! Brothers and sisters, I said it was solemn for me because I can still hear my mother’s voice (she crossed over nine years ago), warning my siblings and I, “who don’t hear, does feel”, “wherever you catch your cold, go and blow your nose”, or “children — who don’t listen to what parents say, does drink bush tea without sugar”. Christian family, I thank Almighty God for the chastisement and upbringing I received also the spiritual teachings and virtues, which have kept me rooted and grounded in the name of the Lord. Brothers and sisters, it seems as though parents (both spiritual and carnal), have this ability to know and warn their children when danger is nigh, nowadays I try to tell my kids of some of the dangers that exists but they don’t listen and sometimes fall prey to situations. Nevertheless brethren, we have to pray for each other; because if we refrain from prayer, we cease to fight and this is what the busy adversary wants to see, so let God be true and every man a liar. Hallelujah!
Children of The Most High, let us take warning from our parents (elders), let’s adhere to Romans 16 verse 17. Beloved, again I must highlight the Mother’s Day message by Abbess Janet McClean, and I always hear my Archbishop Gregg preach, that one of our motto is the very instructions Jesus the Christ gave to Peter, “feed my lambs” “feed my sheep”. Fellow travellers to eternity, let us be obedient, mindful and take warning from our elders and make our calling and election sure. Let us go and tell the nation, about this; let us go and tell the nation, about that; tell them Jesus is here, The Comforter is alive, like brother Job said, “I know that my Redeemer liveth and that He shall stand at the latter day upon the earth”. (Job 19 verse 25). Saints of God let us take warning, of the perilous times we’re living in, let us read brother Paul’s message in Thessalonians 5, we are all children of light and children of the day, we are not of the night nor of darkness, therefore, let us not sleep as do others, but let us watch and be sober. Brothers and sisters, many of us are awake yet sleeping, alive but dead, take warning. (please don’t misunderstand, take self out of self and grasp the spiritual meaning).
In closing beloved, I bless Almighty God for His word, it’s a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path. Our parents (elders) are here for a reason and purpose, so let us take warning and make hay while the sun shines. Almighty and Everlasting Father, we thank You for only begotten Son, we thank You for our elders (parents), please continue to bless and advise them. Lord have mercy on all our brothers and sisters around the world, who are uplifting the name of Jesus, guard, guide and protect them to do Your work. King of Zion, we have all sinned and fall short of Your glory, we ask for forgiveness and we pray that You humble and teach us that we may take warning in Jesus Almighty name. Amen! Amen! Amen!
God loves you so do I, so let us pay attention and take warning.
Your humble servant,
His Eminence, Eric Alleyne. LOM OHPA OSM.
Cardinal of The Mystical Order.
