Introduction
The Church is called to be a community of faith, worship, service, love, and spiritual growth. As believers gather under the Lordship of Jesus Christ, they are responsible for reflecting His character in their conduct, relationships, leadership, stewardship, and ministry. Church Codes of Conduct, Ethics, Policy, and Procedure provide a clear framework to help every member, leader, volunteer, and ministry worker serve in a manner that honours God and strengthens the body of Christ.
These guidelines are not intended to replace the authority of Scripture, the guidance of the Holy Spirit, or the pastoral care of church leadership. Rather, they offer practical direction for applying biblical principles to the daily life and operation of the church. They establish shared expectations for integrity, accountability, respect, confidentiality, safety, financial responsibility, conflict resolution, and faithful service.
A healthy church must be both spiritually devoted and responsibly organized. While the Church is a spiritual body, it also carries practical responsibilities involving people, property, finances, programs, records, children, families, visitors, and the wider community. Clear policies and procedures help ensure that ministry is carried out with wisdom, consistency, fairness, and proper accountability.
Every person connected to the church is encouraged to uphold these standards with humility and love. Leaders are called to model godly character; members are called to walk in unity; volunteers are called to serve faithfully; and all are called to treat one another with dignity as children of God. In every matter, the goal is not merely to enforce rules, but to preserve the peace, purity, safety, witness, and mission of the Church.
These Codes of Conduct, Ethics, Policy, and Procedure therefore serve as a guide for maintaining an orderly, respectful, Christ-centered environment where ministry can flourish. May all who serve and worship within this congregation do so “decently and in order,” with hearts devoted to God and lives that demonstrate the love of Christ.
