SEASON OF ADVENT (RE-POST)

O come, O come, Emmanuel,
And ransom captive Israel,
That mourns in lonely exile here
Until the Son of God appears.Refrain

Rejoice! Rejoice!
Emmanuel shall come to thee, O Israel.

O come, Thou Wisdom from on high,
Who orderest all things mightily;
To us the path of knowledge shows,
And teach us in her ways to go.

A pleasant and wonderful morning to my Christian family, this is the day the Lord has made, so let us rejoice and be glad in it. For it is He that hath made us and not we ourselves, we are His people and the sheep of His pasture. He is also a jealous God and He loves to be praised, so let’s enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praises. Hallelujah! Heavenly Father, as we lift You up this morning with our prayers and supplications, we pray that You guard, guide, keep and feed us, please keep us on the straight and narrow pathway, Lord hide us where sin and satan cannot find us, reveal your footprints to us so we can walk in them. O Great Jehovah, we thank you for the beginning of this advent season, whereby we’ll be looking forward to commemorating the birth of baby Jesus. Master it is a joyous but solemn time of the year, however, we still give you thanks and praises and glorify your name for the good times, the bad times, and even the up and down times. O Spirit Divine, attend unto our prayers this morning and make our hearts thy home. Almighty God, we thank you for sparing our lives to see another day, so as we go about our daily chores, we pray for your guidance and blessings in Jesus’ name. Amen! Praise the Lord!

Peace and blessings to the Patriarch, my Archbishop, Queen Abbess, all ministers, members, friends and well-wishers of The Mystical Order, I greet you in the mighty name of Jesus. Beloved, just a few days ago (11.28.13) we celebrated thanksgiving and now we are into the season of advent. This season of Advent is a time when one is looking forward and making preparations for Christmas ( the birth of Jesus), however, I strongly believe one should also reminisce on the past eleven months and try to take inventory of one’s life. [ this is just the personal view of the writer]. Let us try to have a more personal relationship with our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Amen! As we were reminded in Romans 8, let us not walk after the flesh, but after the Spirit; because to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Hallelujah!

Getting back to the subject in the caption — “season of advent”, the word advent means “coming” or “arrival”, so as we prepare for the coming of Christ, let us also prepare for that day of Salvation. Saints of God, no one knows the minute, nor the hour when The Bridegroom will appear, so we have to keep watch and pray; as the chorus says, children awake watch and pray, Christ is coming back again, and we will meet Him by the river, Christ is coming back again. Nowadays this season of advent has been commercialized, and the merchants and business sector use this period preceding Christmas to capitalise on their profits, {beloved to each his own} but let us as children of The Most High remember the less fortunate. As we flow from Thanksgiving into the Christmas season, let the brotherly love continue. Amen!

So until we meet again brothers and sisters, I pray that Almighty God bless and keep us, may He make His face shine upon us, and may He continue to move This Mystical Order to higher heights, I pray that our elders stand firm and stay strong in the Lord. I pray that with God’s grace and faith, we tarry until He comes in Jesus Almighty’s name. Amen! Amen! Amen!

God loves you so do I.

Your humble servant,
His Eminence, Sir Eric Alleyne. LOM OHPA OSM.
Cardinal of The Mystical Order.
Commanding Officer of The Mystical Court.
