THE GREAT REFORMERS

HH, Sir Godfrey Gregg D.Div

John and Charles Wesley were two of the true greatest reformers. From their missions came the Methodist Church. There are so many great hymns sung today that remind us of the powerful ministry. “And are we yet alive to see each other face.”  Oh, we have to be mindful of our surroundings when we sing “He has preserved us by His power divine to full salvation”.  This is not for us alone ….salvation is free and we have to lead others to find it. So by our actions and lives, we can make this change.

Yesterday I was so encouraged talking to Bishop Hall and we are not too big or old not to listen and learn. Everyone has a place in the body of Christ. Therefore we have to know who we are and so fulfil our mission and purpose in the Kingdom of God.

Let us deal with the prayer warriors. Ephesians 6:18 praying always with all prayer and supplication in the spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints; and in Colossians 4:2 Paul said to continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving; and as you continue to read seek God to open doors for us so we can spread the mysteries of God.

To this end, I have set up an email to channel your roster requests and we are starting with the elders and clergy to intercede on your behalf. The email is mysticalprayerline@gmail.com  and let us see God in motion. In the book of 1Thessalonians 5:17 and 18 Paul said to pray without ceasing. He continues “In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.”

Today what we do for Thanksgiving or some other national holiday is to make a statement of showing as to who has the most money and who can out some the other. God does not want us to show off like that, He wants us to be humble in all things.

You remember the man that went to the temple to pray and how he shows off while the other in simple words said Lord be merciful to me a sinner, and the Bible said that He was justified before God.

What is our purpose before God? Why we worship? Is it to make a show or to touch the throne of grace and see someone saved. God help us if this is the new way of worship and serving God. It is not tradition but a commandment of God to worship Him in spirit and in truth. One thing I discovered is that people shout louder to conceal their sins. The harder you shout the more you open your book. Gone are the days when there were provers. Today you keep quiet because you can be brought to the law courts for slander and other charges.

Oh God our help in ages past and our hope for years to come. My prayer to you and for us today as your servant is that we shake ourselves and know that God is no respect of persons and that whatever we do He will bring us into judgement.

To the brethren in St. Vincent and the Grenadines and the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago I urge you to hold on and though others will try to sway you stand firm as a rock with your Archbishop and the Mystical Order. I say peace to all in the Name of the Lord and do have a blessed day.
