RAYING FOR YOU

 HH, Sir Godfrey Gregg D.Div

Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness;” (Colossians 1:11).

The apostle prays for the Colossians, that they may be “strengthened with all might, according to His glorious power, unto all patience and long-suffering with joyfulness.” It is one thing to endure and show the strain on every muscle of your face, and seem to say with every wrinkle, “Why does not somebody sympathize with me?” It is another to endure the cross, “despising the shame” for the joy set before us.

And so, today I want to pray in a simple way at my bedside for my fellow ministers and their churches, I am also praying for those that visit these pages daily for a blessing. I have received of the Lord and I am giving from my divine inheritance to you so that your joy may be filled and looking into the hands for a greater outpouring of all that stored up blessings. Oh, I am asking my Father to open the windows of heaven and pour out His blessings on us as He did on the children of Israel in the wilderness when He rained down manna from heaven. Our watchword is a double portion until our cup runneth over and there is no more room.

There are some trees in the garden of the Lord which “shall not see when heat cometh”; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, nor cease from yielding fruit. Let us set our faces toward the rising sun and use the clouds that come, to make rainbows. Not much longer shall we have the glorious opportunity to rejoice in tribulation, and learn patience. In heaven, we shall have nothing to teach long-suffering. If we do not learn it here, we shall be without our brightest crown forever, and wish ourselves back for a little while, in the very circumstances of which we are now trying so hard to get rid.

Hear from Heaven O, Lord and answer my prayers as I come before you on behalf of my brethren, readers, family and fellow ministers. If. ever there was a time we need to hear from Heaven it is now.
