Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,
In 2 Corinthians 12:10, Paul writes, “That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.”

We have reached the 16th day of our prayer and fasting journey, and I want to take a moment to encourage each one of you to keep pressing on! It’s amazing to think about how far we’ve come, and yet, we are only halfway through this spiritual adventure.
As we fast and pray, we may feel weak and vulnerable, but it is in these moments that we are reminded of our dependence on God and His strength. Let us continue to delight in the hardships and difficulties of this journey, knowing that they are producing in us a deeper faith and a stronger relationship with our heavenly Father.

In Psalm 138:7-8, David writes, “Though I am surrounded by troubles, my God will preserve me against the anger of my enemies! He clenches His fist in anger! He defends His cause, remembering His covenant, His promise to His people.”
As we press on in prayer and fasting, let us remember that we are surrounded by the favour and protection of God. He is our defender and our provider, and He is faithful to keep His promises.
In Hebrews 12:1-2, we are encouraged to “run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith.”
Let us keep our eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith. Let us run with perseverance, knowing that the reward is worth the effort.
In Matthew 6:16-18, Jesus teaches us, “When you fast, do not look somber as the hypocrites do, for they disfigure their faces to show others they are fasting. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. But when you fast, put oil on your head and wash your face, so that it will not be obvious to others that you are fasting, but only to your Father, who is unseen; then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.”

As we continue in prayer and fasting, let us remember to do so with humility and a pure heart. May our fasting be a secret discipline, known only to God, and may we trust in His promise to reward our efforts.
Dear friends, let us press on in faith, knowing that God is faithful to complete the work He began in us. May these final days of prayer and fasting be filled with breakthroughs and blessings, and may we emerge from this journey stronger and more united than ever before.
