FROM THE DESK OF THE ARCHBISHOP AND APOSTOLIC HEAD
Sir Dr. Godfrey Gregg
I am not present with you this morning to see all the lovely faces seated to witness an historic event under the leadership of Abbess Queen Mother Hon. Ursula Lawrence at St. Philemon Spiritual Baptist Church. However, let these words be an encouragement and blessings to your heart and souls.
Today members of the Clergy of The Mystical Order woke up in St. Croix to a new day in ministry. Although there were much uncertainty of the ceremony the luggage arrived last night and so we know the enemy is defeated. They that put their trust in the Lord shall be as Mount Zion.
I prayed for you my brothers and sisters that your labour will not be in vain in the Lord. Yesterday I got a picture of my beloved Abbess Queen Mother Hon. Lawrence and I was so proud to see the accomplishment of this ministry of which I preside as your Archbishop.
There was a call to help in Macedonia, there in St. Croix and I with the lead of the Holy Spirit was able to say to my ministers to go and help. Today is not only about you or us but the entire family of the Mystical Order. Go you into all the world and preach the Gospel. Make disciples of men and those that have accepted the Lord as their Saviour, baptize them in the Name of the Father, and of the Son and the Holy Ghost.
St. Croix and St. Philemon Spiritual Baptist Church you are in a new course. The chart and compass are before you and we are going to new places, new heights and deeper depths. The storms may be great but prayer makes the darkest clouds withdraw and gives excercise to faith and love.
To the elect ministers who will take the oath of office in a few hours this ordination ceremony is not about you but the people you will serve. Your life must be without reproach. Your light must shine before all men that your works be seen and the Father is glorified. It is about you caring for the flock and being a great and solid armor bearer to our Abbess Queen Mother Hon. Ursula Lawrence. It is about you defending the church in adversities. It is about you praying and studying the word of God to teach the children that come before you to learn.
Your task and the challenge ahead is great and the responsibilities on your shoulders are even greater. It is not about you being called a Reverend and the wearing of a white collar. It is about you living a life as an example to the people and unto God. I will urge you to read my message posted here “The responsibilities of the Shepherd. ” In all you are new leaders but not so fast, you are new in this position and the Bible tells us that new born babes desire the sincere milk of the word. Therefore, humble yourselves and submit to learn in order to be good leaders. Read my message “church leadership”. I am sure you will be blessed and make this website your home for learning. http://www.mysticalorderinc.org.
As I close look in the booklet and read the ordination prayer and go foth in the Lord. Abbess Lawrence I will miss seeing you present the new Ministers to the congregation. But there are greater things instore for you with long life. All the way long it is Jesus. God bless you and have an enjoyable ceremony.
Godfrey Gregg
