SEEKING THE LORD YOUR GOD

Many popular preachers of this age are completely blinded from the truth and the ways of the Spirit of the Lord. They teach all kinds of strange doctrines, ideas, and theories that do not lead to righteousness in Jesus Christ. But they give rules, regulations, and commands they are not willing to follow themselves.

“But woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you shut up the kingdom of heaven against men; for you neither go in yourselves nor do you allow those who are entering to go in. Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you devour widows’ houses, and for a pretense make long prayers. Therefore you will receive greater condemnation.” Matthew 23:13-15

God commands, “He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the LORD require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?” Micah 6:8

But that is not what they do. Watch out for those who are false. Who speak with smooth speech and depend on entertaining you instead of instructing you in the ways of the Lord. They teach from their own understanding and copy the teachings of others and do not devote themselves to the LORD’S Spirit and His guidance to give proper instruction.

It is the stage they seek. It is the show and fame they crave. It is to be called Bishop, Overseer, Priest, Pastor, Rabbi, or Father from those they look down upon from the throne they have constructed. They steal from the people, promising them freedom and prosperity if they only give to the Lord. But what they really mean is to give into their own pockets.

Then the LORD said to me, “Take once more the equipment of a foolish shepherd. For behold, I am raising up in the land a shepherd who does not care for those being destroyed, or seek the young or heal the maimed or nourish the healthy but devours the flesh of the fat ones, tearing off even their hoofs.

“Woe to my worthless shepherd, who deserts the flock! May the sword strike his arm and his right eye! Let his arm be wholly withered, his right eye utterly blinded!” Zechariah 11:15-17

“Behold, the days are coming,” declares the Lord GOD, “when I will send a famine on the land— not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD. They shall wander from sea to sea, and from north to east; they shall run to and fro, to seek the word of the LORD, but they shall not find it.“In that day the lovely virgins and the young men shall faint for thirst. Those who swear by the Guilt of Samaria, and say, ‘As your god lives, O Dan,’ and, ‘As the Way of Beersheba lives,’ they shall fall, and never rise again.” Amos 8:11 and 14

Forsake the ways of this world and the wicked mindset of men who were never told to preach. Devote yourself to Jesus Christ and the instruction of His Spirit. In this time of deception, you must focus only on Him and His leading, righteousness, holiness, and the purity God calls for.

Throw off the shackles of sin and walk humbly with God and He will lead you to the path of life and redemption, in Jesus’ name.

His way is hard, difficult, and narrow. It brings with it afflictions, trials, and persecution. But it is the way that leads to life, love, righteousness, peace, and rest that only comes from true faith and trust in Jesus Christ, His Spirit, and the Almighty God who loves us.

But from there you will seek the LORD your God and you will find Him if you search after Him with all your heart and with all your soul. When you are in tribulation, and all these things come upon you in the latter days, you will return to the LORD your God and obey His voice. For the LORD your God is a merciful God. He will not leave you or destroy you or forget the covenant with your fathers that He swore to them. Deuteronomy 4:29-31
