Dear God and our Father,
We come before You with hearts full of gratitude for the wisdom and guidance of our elders. We ask that You help children understand the importance of respecting those who have come before them.
Grant children the ability to see the value in the experience and knowledge of their elders. Help them listen with open hearts, learn from their stories, and show kindness and respect in their interactions.
May children recognize the sacrifices made by elders and appreciate the love and care they’ve received. Teach them to honour the wisdom of age and to seek guidance when needed.
Help children develop patience and understanding towards elders, demonstrating compassion and empathy. May they build bridges of connection and understanding between generations.
We pray that children grow in wisdom and character as they interact with their elders, learning valuable lessons that will guide them through life.
May respect for elders be a part of the values we instil in our children, leading to stronger communities and loving relationships.
