The Freedom of Letting Go
“For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.” — Matthew 6:14
My Beloved,
Forgiveness is the freedom of letting go. It is not about excusing wrongdoing but about releasing the burden of bitterness and trusting God to bring justice. I have walked through many seasons of pain and betrayal, and I have learned that forgiveness is not a feeling—it is a choice. It is the decision to trust God with our wounds and to allow His love to heal our hearts.
In The Mystical Order, we do not hold onto grudges or harbour resentment. We forgive, for we ourselves have been forgiven. Forgiveness is the key that unlocks the prison of pain, the bridge that restores broken relationships, and the path to true freedom.
But let me share a truth I have learned: Forgiveness is not a one-time act; it is a journey. It requires us to continually release our pain to God, to trust His justice, and to choose love over bitterness.

Ask yourself: Is there someone I need to forgive today? True forgiveness is not about the other person; it is about our own healing and freedom.
With a Heart of Forgiveness,
Queen Abbess Patricia
