Day 13 – God’s Word Is a Lamp
Scripture: “Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.” (Psalm 119:105
Imagine walking in the dark without a flashlight. It’s easy to trip, fall, or get lost. That is exactly why God gave us His Word—it shines light on the path of life. School life, friendships, and decisions can sometimes feel confusing; but when you read the Bible, it shows you the right way to go.
A lamp does not light the whole road at once; it shines just enough for the next step. In the same way, God’s Word may not tell you your whole future at once, but it gives daily guidance. Every morning, as you read Scripture, you receive light for the choices you face in that moment. Whether it is choosing honesty over lies, kindness over anger, or diligence over laziness, God’s Word directs you clearly.
Children, do not neglect the Bible. Even one verse a day is powerful. Begin today by reading a passage before school. Carry it in your heart and let it shape your day. Pray: “Lord, make Your Word my light. Guide me in every step so I may not wander into darkness.” With His Word lighting your path, your future is secure.
