She’s a TRUE friend. She is thoughtful and trustworthy and dedicated. She will shower mercy on your shortcomings and speak the truth to grow you in the name of love. She shows up. She will be there when you celebrate big moments and she will dive into the trenches to carry you when life leads you into a battlefield. When there is a call for help, she responds. She shifts her priorities as needs arise. She honours her friendships with a spirit of humility and gentleness, while she is honest and as real as they come. There’s no comparison or competition, no expectation or condition when it comes to being her friend.
Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity. -Colossians 3:12-14
