The Mystical Order of Spiritual Baptist Inc. was officially registered as a church in February 2012 in Brooklyn, New York. The founding leaders of the church were Darrindel Hoyte-Johnson (elected as Archbishop and Apostolic Head), Godfrey Gregg (elected as Divine Secretary/Treasurer and appointed Bishop), and Patricia Hackshaw (appointed Abbess). These three served as the initial trustees of the newly formed organization.
