God gives strength
When I kept silence, my bones waxed old through my roaring all the day long. 4 For day and night thy hand was heavy upon me: my moisture is turned into the drought of summer. Selah. 5 I acknowledge my sin unto thee, and mine iniquity have I not hid. I said, I will confess my transgressions unto the Lord; and thou forgavest the iniquity of my sin. Selah. Psalm 32:3-5
Nothing saps our faith in change and our faith in God like sin does. Our conscience gets affected by a lot of things, including not just our actions but our desires, thoughts, and attitudes. Sin saps our strength, but God restores it.
God doesn’t add burdens to our lives, he relieves our guilt so we can be strong. What sins are on your conscience today? Make time to pray about them so God can relieve your guilt and restore your strength.
