All Roads Lead to Mt. Tabor

A MESSAGE TO THE PILGRIMS

Pilgrimage Day — Sunday, 24th May 2026

Beloved Pilgrims, Sisters and Brothers in the Faith,

Grace, peace, and the boundless mercies of Almighty God be multiplied unto each of you on this most sacred and joyous occasion. On behalf of the Supreme Leadership of The Mystical Order Ministries International, and with a heart overflowing with gratitude and holy expectation, we welcome you — every soul who has answered the call — to this blessed Pilgrimage Day, Sunday the 24th of May 2026.

All roads have led here. From village lanes and city streets, from distant shores and familiar hillsides, from prayer closets and early morning altars — you have come. You have come as our forebears came: with faith tied around your loins, with purpose in your step, and with the living Word of God burning in your chest. You have come to Mt. Tabor Mystical Spiritual Baptist Church in Troumaca, on this sacred soil of St. Vincent and the Grenadines — and your coming is not by accident. It is the hand of Providence that has gathered this assembly in this Year of Spiritual Unity.

“For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.”— Matthew 18:20

The Lord God Almighty is in the midst of this gathering. Let every weary pilgrim be encouraged: the journey to this holy place is itself an act of worship. Every mile travelled, every sacrifice made, every early rising to don your spiritual garments and set your face toward Mt. Tabor — Heaven has taken full notice. You did not come merely for fellowship alone, though fellowship is a gift of God. You came because something within your spirit would not be satisfied until it responded to the summons of the Divine.

The Year of Spiritual Unity

This is no ordinary year. We stand in a Year of Spiritual Unity — a divine season in which God is calling His people to lay down the burdens of isolation and division, and to embrace the magnificent tapestry of togetherness that He has woven in this Faith. Unity is not uniformity; it is not the erasure of our individual gifts or the silencing of our distinct voices. Unity, as the Spirit of God has revealed it to us, is the gathering of many streams into one mighty river — each stream distinct, each stream necessary, but all flowing toward the same eternal sea.

In the Spiritual Baptist Faith, we understand unity in a way that is deep and ancient. We have carried it in our mourning grounds, in our bands, in our candles lit against the night, in our bells that wake the sleeping dawn. We have held it in communal prayer and passed it forward through the generations like a torch that must never be extinguished. Today, on Pilgrimage Day, that torch shines at Mt. Tabor, and every pilgrim present is both a carrier and a witness of its light.

“Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!”— Psalm 133:1

Honouring Our Host and Our Guide

We give God praise for Her Beatitude, Matriarch Elnette Edwards, whose faithful stewardship of Mt. Tabor Mystical Spiritual Baptist Church has made this hallowed ground a worthy sanctuary for this great occasion. Her Beatitude is a woman of deep spiritual roots and sacrificial love, and her opening of these doors to the wider body of The Mystical Order Ministries International is itself a declaration of unity in action. We honour her service, her vision, and her yielded spirit.

It is fitting and right that this Pilgrimage shall be led by our Archbishop and Presiding Prelate, His Eminence Hon. Andres B. Quow. His Eminence walks in the anointing of the shepherd and the conviction of the prophetic voice. As he leads us today, let every pilgrim submit to the spiritual covering that God has placed over this procession. A pilgrimage without leadership is mere wandering; a pilgrimage under anointed covering is a movement of God.

And over all that we do, we acknowledge with reverence and gratitude the Supreme Leadership of our beloved Patriarch and Chief Apostle, H.A.H. Sir Darrindel Hoyte-Johnson. It is under his apostolic vision that this Year of Spiritual Unity has been declared and this Pilgrimage has been convened. His leadership is the plumb line by which this ministry stands upright, and his intercession is the canopy beneath which we walk in safety.

Walk Well, Pilgrim

To you, dear pilgrim, who have made the journey today — whether your road was short or long, whether your body is strong or your knees cry out for mercy — we say: walk well. You are walking in a lineage of faith that stretches back through centuries of prayers and tears, of tarrying and breakthrough, of night-long vigils and morning-time testimonies. You are not the first to walk this road, and because of your faithfulness today, you will not be the last.

Walk in humility. The Spirit of the Lord does not rest upon the proud, but upon those who come with contrite hearts and open hands. Leave behind the weights that have accumulated — the grievances nursed, the offences carried, the anxieties that have worn your spiritual garments thin. This is a day of laying down and of taking up. Lay down what is not of God; take up the garment of praise.

Walk in expectation. God did not call you to Troumaca to send you away empty. Mt. Tabor in the Holy Scripture was a place of transfiguration — a place where ordinary men beheld the extraordinary glory of the Living Christ. Let Mt. Tabor in St. Vincent be such a place for you today. Expect transformation. Expect an encounter. Expect that what you carry when you leave this place shall be different from what you carried when you arrived.

“But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.”— Isaiah 40:31

Until We Walk Again

As this sacred day unfolds — through song, through prayer, through the proclamation of the Word, through the holy fellowship of kindred spirits — let your whole being be consecrated to the God who called you here. Speak to your brother. Embrace your sister. Pray for one another with the sincerity of a heart that knows the power of intercession. Let this Pilgrimage Day be a memorial stone in your spiritual journey, a marker to which you shall return in memory when the days grow dark and your faith requires rekindling.

The Mystical Order Ministries International is built not on the strength of individuals, but on the cord of three strands — the Word, the Spirit, and the Community of Believers. Today, that cord is on full display at Mt. Tabor. Today, we are stronger together. Today, we are one.

May the God of all grace bless your coming in and your going out. May the peace that surpasses all understanding keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. May you carry the fire of this Pilgrimage Day back to your homes, your prayer rooms, and your churches, and may that fire refuse to be extinguished by the winds of this world.

We love you with the love of the Lord. We thank God for you. And we declare over your life, your family, and your ministry: this is your year. The year of Spiritual Unity has found you, and you are not the same.

Selah — Walk Good, Pilgrim. Walk Holy. Walk Together.
