Job 14:14 If a man die, shall he live again? all the days of my appointed time will I wait, till my change come.
Man that is born of a woman is of few days, and full of trouble.
Says job at the beginning of the chapter
His pain is real the worst any human being has ever suffered
The loss of children the loss of home the loss of friends the loss of health
It seems that he flows in his faith from belief to wonder
Psalm 52:1 To the chief Musician, Maschil, A Psalm of David, when Doeg [ fear anxiety] the Edomite came and told Saul, and said unto him, David is come to the house of Ahimelech. Why boastest thou thyself in mischief, O mighty man? the goodness of God endureth continually.
Psalm 52:2 Thy tongue deviseth mischiefs; like a sharp razor, working deceitfully.
Psalm 52:3 Thou lovest evil more than good and lying rather than to speak righteousness. Selah.
Psalm 52:4 Thou lovest all devouring words, O thou deceitful tongue.
Psalm 52:5 God shall likewise destroy thee for ever, he shall take thee away, and pluck thee out of thy dwelling place, and root thee out of the land of the living. Selah.
Psalm 52:6 The righteous also shall see, and fear, and shall laugh at him:
Psalm 52:7 Lo, this is the man that made not God his strength; but trusted in the abundance of his riches and strengthened himself in his wickedness.
Psalm 52:8 But I am like a green olive tree in the house of God: I trust in the mercy of God forever and ever.
But I am like a green olive-tree in the house of God – I shall be in the house of God, full of spiritual vigour, bringing forth evergreen leaves and annual fruit, as the olive does when planted in proper soil and good situation. It does not mean that there were olive-trees planted in God’s house; but he was in God’s house, as the olive was in its proper place and soil.
Psalm 52:9 I will praise thee for ever because thou hast done it: and I will wait on thy name; for it is good before thy saints.
David now, at length, saw it necessary to quit the court, and shift for his own safety, for fear of Saul, who had once and again attempted to murder him. Doeg and Edomite happened to be there, and he went and informed Saul against Ahimelech, representing him as confederate with a traitor, upon which accusation Saul grounded a very bloody warrant, to kill all the priests; and Doeg, the prosecutor, was the executioner, 1 Samuel 22:9 Then answered Doeg the Edomite, which was set over the servants of Saul, and said, I saw the son of Jesse coming to Nob, to Ahimelech the son of Ahitub.
Isaiah 40:31 But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
You have to be on the alert for the enemy that walks with you. Not everyone in your circle is your trusted friends. WARNING, Be careful how you talk and act. Do not disclose your plans to soon and know where you are and who you are speaking to. The same one you think is your friend will be the one to destroy you right in the center of the church and at the peak of your ministry. I have prayed for you that you are strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.
