Living a Life Pleasing to God
“Train yourself to be godly. For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come.” — 1 Timothy 4:7-8
My Faithful Ones,
Godliness is the pursuit of a life that is pleasing to God. It is not about outward religiosity but about a heart fully devoted to Him. I have spent my life pursuing godliness, and I have learned that it is not about perfection—it is about progress. It is the daily discipline of aligning our lives with God’s Word, of cultivating our relationship with Him, and of living in a way that honours His name.
In The Mystical Order, we do not pursue godliness to earn God’s love. We pursue it because we are already loved. Godliness is the response of a heart that has been transformed by grace, a heart that seeks to reflect the character of Christ in every area of life. It is the willingness to live differently, to love deeply, and to walk in holiness.
But let me share a truth I have learned: Godliness is not about rules; it is about relationship. It is the willingness to surrender our will to God’s, to trust His leading, and to follow His ways. Godliness is the path to true fulfilment, the source of eternal reward, and the mark of a life lived for God’s glory.
Ask yourself: Am I pursuing godliness in my daily life, or am I conforming to the patterns of this world? True godliness is not about outward appearances; it is about a heart that is fully surrendered to God.
With a Heart of Godliness,
Queen Abbess Patricia
