Day 14 – Guard Your Heart

Day 14 – Guard Your Heart

Scripture: “Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.” (Proverbs 4:23)

Your heart is like a treasure box, and whatever you put inside will eventually come out. If you fill it with good things—God’s Word, prayer, helpful words, and love—your life will shine with goodness. But if you allow anger, evil music, pride, or lies to enter, those things will guide your choices and harm your future.

Guarding your heart means being careful about what you watch, what you listen to, and whom you follow. Just as you lock the doors of your home to keep out thieves, you must also lock the door of your heart to protect it from dangerous influences. In school, some people may try to lead you into trouble or encourage you to disobey, but a guarded heart refuses to let sin in.

Ask God every morning to help you guard your heart. Fill it with prayer, songs of praise, and words of truth. Then, when wrong thoughts or temptations come, they will find no space to stay. Pray: “Lord, help me to keep my heart clean and pure before You. May my heart be a place where only good things grow.” The person who guards their heart secures their destiny.
