“Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.”—1 Corinthians 15:33
Men, why does this so fool us? Yet the writer suggests we are fooled. Living in “deception” we think that bad company will not harm, damage, corrupt, or “ruin” us. How arrogant we are! We invite corrupt relationships that welcome corrupted thoughts that lead to corrupted morals. Eventually, corrupted people rub off on us. Maybe not right away, but ultimately, their behaviours, attitudes, language, and posture becomes yours. So my brothers and sisters do not be deceived.
I am urging you as you read this message line by line to be aware of your surroundings and walk according to the structure God has placed before us through His words.
Don’t be deceived.
LET US PRAY: God, awaken our senses to corruption and help us remain uncorrupted from the world. Open our eyes that we may see the reality around us and the people we are associated with daily. AMEN
