Day 11 – March 26: Unity Attracts God’s Presence
“For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.” – Matthew 18:20
There is a unique manifestation of God’s presence that comes when believers gather in unity. Jesus promised that where even two or three come together in His name—in unified purpose and agreement—He is present in a special way. This is not to say God is absent from the individual believer, but that corporate unity creates an atmosphere where His presence is magnified and experienced more powerfully.
Throughout Scripture, we see this pattern. When Solomon dedicated the temple and all Israel worshipped in unity, the glory of God filled the house so powerfully that the priests couldn’t stand to minister. When the early church gathered in one accord in the upper room, the Holy Spirit descended with power. When Paul and Silas praised God together in prison, an earthquake shook the foundations, and the chains fell off.
Unity doesn’t manipulate God or force His hand, but it does create the spiritual climate where He loves to dwell and move. Discord, on the other hand, grieves the Holy Spirit and limits what He can do among us. God will not honour division with His manifest presence, no matter how eloquent our prayers or how passionate our worship.
As The Mystical Order Ministries gathers in unity over these twenty-one days, expect God to show up in powerful ways. Expect breakthroughs that have been delayed. Expect healing in relationships. Expect fresh vision and direction. Expect the supernatural. God is drawn to unity like a magnet, and where He is present, all things are possible.
Let us pursue unity not just for unity’s sake, but because we hunger for more of God’s presence in our midst.
