That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man; 17 That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, 18 May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; Ephesians 3:16-18
How can you grow in your faith and in spiritual maturity? According to Paul, the key to growing stronger and more resilient in the Lord hinges on your awareness of God’s love and whether you rely on it. If you are rooted in God’s love, then you will be stable and strong. If not, you may be blown around by every circumstance, distraction, or attractive philosophy.
The nature of God’s love is worthy of your attention and meditation. Paul hopes that you will “understand” that God’s love is beyond your grasp. God’s love is so expansive and beyond grasping in its entirety that you will never fully know how much He loves you, This is why You can. begin to live your life rooted in this never-ending, incomprehensibly vast love. You can always go deeper into God’s love.
Jesus, help me to rest fully in You and your love. May You reside in my heart, and may my life find its stability in You alone.
