ELISHA WAS IN DANGER

HIS BEATITUDE SIR GODFREY GREGG D.Div

To my brothers, sisters, friends and well-wishers greetings.

God’s man, Elisha, was in danger!

He had obeyed the voice of God and made the foreign king angry.  The king gathered an army and sent his soldiers by night to surround an entire city and trap God’s man. We are not to fear man, but know the God that you trust and the one that hold you up lest you fall. Do not let fear break you down, but in everything give God thanks.

When morning came and Elisha (along with his servant) looked out of the window of their home, they saw angry warriors, horses, and chariots everywhere…

Elisha’s servant panicked and cried out, “Oh, master!  What will we do?” I think in our time today the right thing for us will be to cry our”O, Master let me walk with Thee.” or for a closer walk with our God a calm and heavenly frame.

Elisha said, “Don’t be afraid.  They that are with us are far more than they that are with them.”  Then he prayed and asked God to open the servant’s eyes. Many times we panic because of the crowd and our knees buckle. He could call ten thousand angels who will not have to fight but just their present. It is time that we understand what we have and surrender to the perfect will of God.

Immediately the servant saw that the surrounding mountains were FULL of horses and chariots of fire that would fight for them! Sometimes we need to hear our Leaders pray so we can behold the armies of God. We know that God encamps around those that fear Him, but we need to see and behold the protection we have.

Have you ever felt outnumbered?  Does it seem at times that the Enemy has the upper hand?  Do you know that helpless feeling that causes you to dread tomorrow? Do not be afraid it is I saith the Lord. Lo, I am with you always even to the end of time.

Take a moment to draw from your memory what God has said about protecting you:
Psalm 34:7 says “The Angel of the Lord encamps all around those who fear Him and delivers them.”

Having such promises in the storehouse of your mind can make the difference between panicking and facing difficulty with the full confidence that the Lord is your Helper.

Wouldn’t it be great to have a ready supply of fear-busting verses that you can fall back on in time of need?

Well, now you can! Memorize the word of God.
