DEVOTIONAL MESSAGE FROM THE ARCHBISHOP

Archbishop and Presiding Prelate Andres B. Quow

Beloved, the Church stands today as a living witness that God is still at work among His people. Each gathering, each prayer, each whispered “Amen” is a testimony that grace continues to flow and mercy continues to speak. Devotion, therefore, is not an occasional act reserved for special days; it is the constant rhythm of a heart that knows it has been redeemed. When the soul realizes the depth of God’s love, it cannot help but respond in worship, service, and obedience. This is the posture that the Archbishop longs to see formed in every believer.

Devotion calls us to remember. We remember the moments when God carried us through danger seen and unseen, when He opened doors no one could shut, and when He comforted us in the secret sorrows that others never knew. These memories should not simply pass through our minds; they should shape our gratitude and deepen our commitment to walk uprightly before Him. A devoted life is a grateful life, and a grateful life becomes a fruitful life. The more we recognize His goodness, the more willingly we surrender our plans to His perfect will.

Yet, devotion is also a call to perseverance. There will be seasons when prayers seem delayed, and answers appear distant. In those moments, the Archbishop encourages the faithful not to faint, but to press on. The soil may feel dry, but the promise of God remains sure. Seeds of faith, watered by tears and nurtured by trust, will in due time bring forth a harvest. The Church must not be moved by every wind of opinion; it must be rooted in the unchanging Word and anchored in the character of God.

As you move through the days ahead, keep your altar alive. Rise each morning with a word of praise, carry an attitude of humility through your tasks, and lay your head down at night with a heart examined and at peace. May your devotion become a fragrant offering rising continually before the throne, and may the blessing of the Lord rest upon you and all who walk in covenant with this sacred Order.
