HH, Sir Godfrey Gregg D.Div
I believe when you fear God, you will avoid the following to stay pure:
Profane words – I agree, sometimes, mentioning parts of our body are science but it does not necessarily mean that it can be used anyhow. It is clear in 1 Timothy 6:20 – “O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science, falsely so-called” and 2 Timothy 2:16 – “But shun profane and vain babblings, for they will increase unto more ungodliness”
The Bible also says in Matthew 5: 37 – “But let your ‘Yes’ be ‘Yes,’ and your ‘No,’ ‘No.’ For whatever is more than these is from the evil one”.
We should avoid the act of swearing, foul language, obscenity, using dirty words and expletives because it only comes from the devil, not from God. The truth is that God does not entertain profane words for it prevents you from receiving his glory upon your life. Funny as it might sound, when you are someone who loves profane words, you will never be able to enjoy the full benefits of God’s peace.
