Baptism is a cornerstone of our Christian beliefs. John the Baptist was ordained by God to be the predecessor of Jesus – he preached about His coming and even baptized Jesus. Being baptized is an important part of Christianity and although not everyone gets baptized, it’s an important part of our beliefs that you should be knowledgeable about. That’s why we gathered together these Bible verses on baptism – so that you could learn more about this important part of Christianity!

  • John 1:33 And I knew him not: but he that sent me to baptize with water, the same said unto me, Upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending, and remaining on him, the same is he which baptizeth with the Holy Ghost. —
  • John 3:5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. —
