Proverbs 3: 5 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

Each and every day, we need to rely on the wisdom of the Lord. For how to live a God-centred life style. So no matter what circumstances we find ourselves in, the Lord will give us the grace and wisdom of how to handle things, and what to say.

The Bible says in Proverbs 15:1  A gentle answer turns away wrath.

I read the story of a black American preacher in the deep south of Alabama in America. He was in a restaurant one day, with his family after church. He had ordered a whole cooked chicken for his family to enjoy. Just as it was put on the table. A mob of Klu Klux Klan members came in, all in their white uniforms, they walked right over to his table.

Noticing the cooked chicken on the table. They said to the preacher,” Whatever you do to that chicken, we are gonna do to every one of you.”

The preacher asked .. “did you say whatever I do to this chicken you will do to everyone one of us? ” One of the Klan’s men retorted, “yes, you heard that right, BOY! whatever you do to that chicken, were gonna do to each one of you! ” The old preacher paused for a second, then lifted the chicken up in his hands, put it in his mouth…… then gave it a kiss and put it back down on the table, and smiled. The Klan members dropped their heads, turned around and walked away.

Lord help me today to lean on your guidance and grace, that I may always trust on your understanding and wisdom, for every area of my life in you.

What would have done? I am so reminded that we shall take no thought for in that hour the Lord will reveal to us what is to be done and said. If you are thinking in the flesh there could have been an exchange of words to cause a confrontation. But in that very moment, the Lord will reveal to His servant what needs to be done and you better have your listening ear opened.
