The tearing of the veil accomplished two things.
1. Giving Man Direct Access to God
Man no longer required a High Priest. Jesus Himself became our High Priest and through Him, we can come directly into God’s presence.
2. God’s Glory Loosed
Before Jesus died on the cross, God’s glory resided beyond the veil on the Mercy Seat. Once the veil was torn, God’s glory was revealed, not just in the Temple but in all the earth!
His glory resides with us!
We no longer require the blood of bulls and goats to atone for our sins! Jesus paid the price, once and for all giving us an intimate relationship with God and allowing us to live each day in God’s presence!
