HAPPY SPIRITUAL BAPTIST LIBERATION DAY
TO THE PEOPLE OF
THE REPUBLIC OF TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO
Let me pay homage to the Elders, Clergy and members of the Spiritual Baptist Faith. who fought for the freedom to worship in the twin-island?
Let us be reminded of the task of the late Eminence Elton Griffith who led this organisation for many years. We also remember the late Archbishop Monica Rondo who helped in the fight for the cause that we celebrate today. Along with them are those who left us as the struggle continues. Dr. Oba Douglas, Ivy Hunte, Evelyn Joseph aka Mother Millie, Archbishop Kenneth Ash, Archbishop Gabriel Hadaway, Reverend Uris Williams, Archbishop Sheila Jordan, Grand Mistress Pearlie Roach, Shepherd Isaac Lindsay, Queen Mother Pearlie Lindsay, Lord Bishop Francois Moses, Mother Mercy, Leader Goswell and Mother Gazette also played their part.
To all the offices and various degrees we are in this struggle and hopefully one day we will be united as the church which is one foundation that is Jesus Christ our Lord. Let us remember the Matriarch Hercules and Archbishop Barbara Burke who are with us today still fighting for a fair share not only in the church but throughout the country.
It is with great honour and on behalf of The Mystical Order Ministries in New York, Mystical Order Spiritual Baptist and Starlight of Israel Healing School in Marouga Trinidad I greet you.
Despite all the differences and various organization we are one and this day signifies the unity we can accomplish if we come together minus our differences. This day is “SPIRITUAL BAPTIST LIBERATION DAY” and you notice that there is not a single group or organisation attached to it.
As we celebrate for the cause of freedom to worship let us from today go forth in the unity of the Holy Spirit for the same cause to be one in the body of Christ. What a privilege we have to carry everything to God in prayer.
My senior His Holiness Patriarch and Chief Apostle Sir Darryl, Archbishop and Presiding Prelate Sir Adrian, Our Matriarch Lady Janet, Queen Abbess Hackshaw, Archbishop and Apostolic Head-Elect Sir Andres join with me to wish everyone in the Republic a spirit-filled and joyous day in the Lord.
HH, Sir Godfrey Gregg D.Div
