5 Solutions for Unproductive Fruit Trees

HH, Sir Godfrey Gregg D.Div

“The Lord is slow to anger, and great in power, and will not at all acquit the wicked: the Lord hath his way in the whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of his feet.” (Nahum 1:3).

I recalled when I was a young man growing up in Bequia, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, and while visiting “Ma Peggy Hill” in the vicinity of Derrick Hill, sitting on an elevation of that hill about 800 feet above sea level, and watching a storm as it came up Leon’s valley. The heavens were filled with blackness, and the earth was shaken by the voice of thunder. It seemed as though that fair landscape was utterly changed, and its beauty has gone never to return.

But the storm swept on, and passed out of the valley; and if I had sat in the same place on the following day, and said, “Where is that terrible storm, with all its terrible blackness?” the grass would have said, “Part of it is in me,” and the daisy would have said, “Part of it is in me,” and the fruits and flowers and everything that grows out of the ground would have said, “Part of the storm is incandescent in me.”

Have you asked to be made like your Lord? Have you longed for the fruit of the Spirit, and have you prayed for sweetness and gentleness and love? Then fear not the stormy tempest that is at this moment sweeping through your life. A blessing is in the storm, and there will be the rich fruitage in the “afterwards.”

The flowers live by the tears that fall From the sad face of the skies, And life would have no joys at all, Were there no watery eyes. Love thou thy sorrow: grief shall bring Its own excuse in after years; The rainbow!–see how fair a thing God hath built up from tears.

So today my brothers and sisters that God who knows all things and what is best for us will send us deliverance. As I write this message I want to reflect on the life of a brother who I haven’t met in person, but we share a bond in spirit. I want to pray for you today that God will visit you under the current circumstances where He took you to TEMPERED AND TRIED so He can make you in the perfect image to be like Him.

Lord Jesus Christ who came to us in this world and even before you came, Isaiah spoke of your coming. You came to redeem man from sin and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Isiah told us that You were wounded for our transgressions and by the stripes you receive, we were healed. This morning my brother, you know who you are and it is my prayer that you receive of the Lord a double portion of what you have in His storehouse. Receive the token of healing with joy unspeakable and full of glory. Patriarch Darrell is joining with me right now lifting you up in holy hands and May the heavens be open and the Lord descend on you in all His glory. Be thou healed in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.
