HH Sir Godfrey Gregg D.Div
So shall they fear the Name of the Lord from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against him. (Isaiah 59:19). Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth. (Psalm 46:10).
There will always be storms in our lives to deal with. There are relational storms; financial storms; health-related storms; and storms that occur from the results of failure. God knows in advance about every storm we will encounter in life and when we will encounter them. The good news is God has a solution for the storms of life we are sure to face and the solution is in Him.
“He calms the storm So that its waves are still”.Psalm 107:29
The key to having the storms of life calmed by God is learning how to wait on the Lord. Wait here doesn’t mean just to sit and wait; there are three critical things we must do while waiting. Once we learn how to wait on God here is what we will experience:
“But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint”. Isaiah 40:31
Are you ready to Soar above the storms of life; then get ready to learn how to wait. Just wait and let God do the rest. You have to wait and learn.
Trials force you to respond. You can flee, fight or fly above them. Are you facing a trial today? God has a purpose in your trial and wants you to learn how to fly above it. Cast your burden upon Him and trust Him for the strength to fly above your difficulty.
Father, I thank you that no matter what kind of storms come into our lives, you are able to carry us above them. When trials and temptations come flooding in, You will make a way where there seems to be no way if we will be still, trust You and let You work. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
Lord, how does this apply to my life? Teach us to wait on you for the answer.
