RECONCILIATION (RE-POST)

This morning I say to you rejoice and be glad knowing that your sins are forgiven and your name is written in the Lamb’s Book of Life.

Write my name in glory is a song well known to us. We sing it all the time but do we really mean it from our souls. Sign my name, sign my name is another song we sing and I do pray that when we really reach the gate of Heaven there won’t be any disappointment.
This morning I want to shift a little and remember the man that brought the black people and white people together in his homeland of South Africa. I speak of no other than President Nelson Mandela who left us in death yesterday. He was born in 1918 and departed this life in 2013 at the age of 95 years. We have heard the life story and his struggles to bring about change to a divided Nation. It took him one term in office to accomplish that change and still today that change is evident among us. May his soul rest in peace.
Today the Christian Church continues to struggle to make the changes necessary, and there are more divisions even in the smallest gatherings. Even though we sing “Come to every soul by sin oppressed there is mercy with the Lord and He will surely give us rest.” Yes, people come and there is no rest in the churches or peace. The church has more confusion than what existed in the divided Nation of South Africa and yet we as Spiritual Baptist with our claims on Africa have missed the reconciliation process that there is One Church, One Faith, One Baptism and One Lord over us all. Jesus came to bring about that change and just like how the Jews missed the mark at His birth I pray that we do not miss the signs at His return.
This morning The Mystical Order is on a different course after a wonderful time in St. Croix at St. Philomena Spiritual Baptist Church. It is wonderful what the Lord has done for us and we are blessed to have good leaders who stand on the solid rock. Our Patriarch stands out as I write and he is doing a great job in forming a bridge across the divide so all baptist people can walk. Though there are fightings within and fears within since we last assemble, the church is still moving forward. Let us do our part let us run the race together, but only those who endure to the end shall be saved. Let nothing hinder you from moving ahead and in everything to give thanks to Almighty God.
May the Peace of God be always with you. God bless
Your servant,
Rt. Hon. Sir, Dr Godfrey Gregg LOM, OHPM
