TOO BUSY WITH GOD’S WORK

Patriarch and Presiding Prelate

HH, Sir Godfrey Gregg D.Div

Those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength’ the will soar, on the wings of an eagle; The will run and not grow weary they will walk and not to faint. Isaiah 40:31

To run and not grow weary at the beginning of the whole matter of activity and strength. All this is the result of waiting on God.

There may be lots of activities created by enthusiasm. Activities often continue at the expense of more solid, useful elements and generally to the total neglect of prayer. To be too busy with God’s work to commune with Him, but to be busy with doing church without taking time to talk to God after His work, is the highway to backsliding.

In spite of great activity, the work will be helpless without the cultivation and the maturity at the graces of God

Father God, please help me not to become so busy with your work. That I don’t take time to consult with You about what You want me to do. Amen
