HH Sir Godfrey Gregg D.Div
I love to read and search, so over the weekend I came across this book on the Internet and decided to read for my Sunday afternoon favourite. I was in and out of sleep because my body was very tired.
However, I want to publish a small portion from what I read and trust you get the message/understanding. The e-book title is “The blushing prophet”, and I quote, “This is not an easy subject to speak on. I could think of many things that were easier to speak on. But, brother, if somebody doesn’t stand out in this sinful, adulterous day that we live in and call the colours, what’s going to happen? Somebody has got to speak the thing. Somebody’s got to place it before the people. Perhaps Ezra didn’t want to do it. But it was in his heart.
And when you see a servant of God get so sincere till he’s on his face with his hands in the air, praying to God, and blushing because the iniquity of the people, then you’re going to see a revival started. A man cannot lay in the Presence of God, a church cannot stay in the Presence of God under repentance unless the Holy Spirit comes down and gives unction and power to start a move of God in there among those people. Just got to be.
Show me a man. Show me another Calvin, Knox, Finney, Sankey, or any of those who feel the burden of the people, that’ll lay on their face and cry and pray before God. Send us a John Smith of the Baptist Church again, who prayed all night for the iniquity of the people until his eyes would be swelled shut the next morning from weeping, till his wife would lead him to the table and feed him his breakfast out of a spoon. Show me a John Wesley again, a firebrand snatched from the fire. I’ll show you a revival.”
Those are the words of William Branham. Oh brethren how we long to get back to the place where holiness still spell H-O-L-I-N-E-S-S. Where have the weeping mothers gone, those that stayed in the presence of God night and day praying for their families, the church and the world at large? Where are they, and the men that stayed on their knees until they are hurt and burn seeking the face of Almighty God? When the sermon/message will call out men and women to the front of the church weeping and crying aloud for their sins? What has happened in the space of 18 years?
Everything seems to go dark and in some quarters dim, but is this the time where the Scriptures tells us that darkness will be upon the earth? This is not the time to look for a church, but for individuals to get right and stand up in the presence of God and be counted among the Bride that is getting ready and may I say already dressed with lamp trimmed and oil in the lamp. The next thing is for the trumpet to sound and the announcement made to “go out to meet the Bridegroom”. How much more time we have? I do not have that answer but if you search the Scriptures you will see the signs and that is your clue that He is very near at hand.
