Delight yourself in Him, brethren, my beloved, brothers, sisters, and I will give you the desires of your heart.
Bring all Your Problems and Troubles to The Lord Jesus Christ and let Him take control. Why wait ….
A long-term problem can become an idol. When you are troubled by a situation that just won’t go away, it’s important to monitor your thoughts. An ongoing difficulty can occupy more and more of your thinking until it looms in idolatrous proportions — casting ugly shadows on the landscape of your mind. When you realize this has happened, confess it to Me. Pour out your feelings as you seek to break free from the hurtful preoccupation. Acknowledge your weakness in the face of this hardship, and humble yourself under the mighty hand of God.
A problem-preoccupation makes you anxious. So I urge you to cast all your anxiety on Jesus — trusting that He cares for you. You may have to do this many times daily, but don’t give up! Each time you cast your worrisome concerns on Him, you are redirecting your attention from problems to His loving Presence. To strengthen these transactions, you can thank Him for caring so much for you. Remember that He has not only died for you, He lives to make intercession for you.
Little children, keep yourselves from idols. Amen. – 1 John 5:21
Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: 7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. – 1 Peter 5:6-7
Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them. – Hebrews 7:25
I am your Treasure! Sometimes you feel frazzled — pulled this way and that by people and circumstances around you. Your yearning for meaning and deep connection drives you into more and more activity. Even when your body is still, your mind tends to race — anticipating future problems and searching for solutions. You need to remember that all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge are hidden in Him. Remind yourself of this glorious truth frequently, whispering:
“Jesus, You are my Treasure. In You I am complete.”
When you prize Him above all else, making Him your First Love, you are protected from feeling fragmented. Whenever you find your thoughts straying, you can train your mind to return to the One who completes you. This gives focus to your life and helps you stay close to Him. Living near Him, enjoying His Presence involves seeking to obey His commands. I am telling you this so that His Joy may be in you and that your Joy may be complete.
That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ; In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. – Colossians 2:2-3
Nevertheless, I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love. – Revelation 2:4
If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love. These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full. – John 15:10-11
