Isaiah 40:28-31 “…but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” (Isaiah 40:31) In this message I will take you through 8 key characteristics of an ‘Eagle Believer’ (Members of The Mystical Order), after reading and meditating on this we are confident your life will never be the same.
There are many different types of birds spoken about in the word of God: The sparrow – Luke 12:6-7, God cares for them but 5 can be sold for 2 coins and therefore are not of high value God could not compared us to them. The raven – Genesis 7:7, the raven is a symbol of wandering, the raven did not return when sent out by Noah but instead was distracted by the pleasures of the world. The dove – Genesis 7:8-9, the dove is a symbol of loyalty, it returned after being sent out by Noah. God does not compare us to the dove because the dove only mates once in its life and does not have a gall bladder – it can only therefore be a representative of the Holy Spirit, who mated once with Mary mother of Jesus and is without sin. God compared us believers (Members of The Mystical Order) to the eagle for many reasons, we can emulate these characteristics of the eagle:
Eagles do not flock
Eagles are a species of bird you will never see in a flock or group, they are rare and they only come once in while.
Eagles do not fly they soar
As Christians it is easy to try and do things in our own strength but that will always fail us, we do not need to put in our man made effort to fly but to soar on the wind God provides.
Eagles use storms to strive as it allows them to soar above the storm at a faster pace.
We must see the storms of life as seasons to grow and get closer to God, for every storm is an opportunity for higher heights.
Eagles are very swift
Eagles did not wait but make decisive decisions quickly, and take every opportunity given to them.
We as Christians (Members of The Mystical Order) must take initiative and move speedily, if there is a need we must rise to the challenge quickly without having to be told – it is vital that as Christians we are sharp.
Eagles build their nests in the highest peak
Eagles create their nests in high places far above others, in order to be conspicuous, they make sure they sell themselves by doing this.
We as Christians (Members of The Mystical Order) should not settle for mediocrity but aim high and be sure to always sell ourselves in the best light.
When eagles are threatened they fly looking towards to sun.
We as Christians (Members of The Mystical Order) must know that our source is Christ in good times as while as bad – Hebrews 12:2
We should look to Him in times of troubles for guidance, peace and hope to face what is ahead.
Eagles have telescopic eyes
“Where there is no vision, the people perish…” (Proverbs 29:18)As Christians (Members of The Mystical Order) we must have vision beyond others – we must see far beyond the ordinary boundaries of man.
Eagles eat serpents
Serpents represent the enemy (Genesis 3:15) Christ won the battle by crushing the serpent and greater is He that is in us so now we must understand the power we have, the ability to consume our enemies and overcome them.
Eagles undergo a 40 day transformation for renewal of strength. This is an example and encouragement for (Members of The Mystical Order). Take the leap in faith and watch God work.
Eagles at around the age of 40 self remove their beak, talons and feathers and await them to grow back while in hiding for 40 days, and when that time is up their strength is renewed allowing them to live for another 30 years. Only today men and women do not want to go into the secret place for renewed strength and revitalized energy.
God did not make a mistake by comparing us to the eagle; as believers (Members of The Mystical Order) can really grasp on to these characteristics and allow them to take out walk in Christ to the next level.
