Praise the Lord and to God be all honour and glory. I praise the Lord for the strength and I will forever look to the hills from whence cometh my help. My brothers and sisters in Christ count it a great thing when you can hear directly from the Lord we serve.
Today’s devotion is from Jesus Calling, written to help people connect not only with Jesus, the living Word, but also with the Bible – the only infallible, inerrant Word of God. Jesus Himself is speaking directly to you—words of encouragement, comfort, and reassurance of His unending love. “The messages . . . are meant to be read slowly, preferably in a quiet place with your Bible open.” We hope you are blessed by today’s message.
When you decide on a course of action that is in line with My will, nothing in Heaven or on earth can stop you. You may encounter many obstacles as you move toward your goal, but don’t be discouraged, never give up! With My help, you can overcome any obstacle. Do not expect an easy path as you journey hand in hand with Me, but do remember that I, your very-present Helper, am omnipotent.
Much, much stress results from your wanting to make things happen before their times have come. You are not your own, I am with you always to the very end. Please do not loo to see me (Godfrey) just read Jesus in this message.
One of the main ways I assert My sovereignty is in the timing of events. If you want to stay close to Me and do things My way, ask Me to show you the path forward moment by moment. Instead of dashing headlong toward your goal, let Me set the pace. Slow down, and enjoy the journey in My Presence. Wow, strong words for the God we serve.
What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us? — Romans 8:31
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, even though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; though its waters roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with its swelling.— Psalm 46:1–3
“For nothing is impossible with God.” — Luke 1:37
I will forever stand in the gap while serving the Lord our God. Blessings
