This is the sabbath or the Lord’s Day in Christian circles. A day for church, Sunday school and many other names for the different types of worship.

Let us say today is Sunday and we are going to church to worship and praise the Lord. So we started to prepare the day before to make sure we are ready and everything is in order. Yes, God loves order and our time is in His hands. Therefore, we must be on time for the Lord’s business.
The Mystical Order is on time and in time with the commission God has given us. So when the voice of Jesus calls us we are to be in time. There is no other option or choice, but to be ready.
Christ promise to return to take His Bride into marriage and we do not know when except the signs and warnings we are given in the Holy Scriptures. I speak to you today from the Gospel of St. Matthew chapter 25:1-13. There were ten virgins and the Bible tells us that five were wise and five were foolish. Five had oil in their lamps and the others had ran out of oil. The important thing to note here is they were all virgins. Untouched, pure and living clean; but something was lacking in the lives of some.

Hello Israel, they were members of a church, baptize and living for God but something was lacking. As we see it does not matter who we are or our position and office in church unless we line up with the Word of God we can be found wanting. The oil here represents the Holy Spirit and we must be filled and even running over. At Consecration we sang “Come Holy Ghost our souls inspire.” Does that tell us something about the life we ought to be living? It is not a song by choice but of great significance. Our lives call for great preparation to be ready for the great call any moment. Since we do not know the time or the hour it means that we have to be ready having oil (Holy Ghost) in our souls, spotless and without blemish. Hallelujah, blessed the Lord.

The Bible tells us that there came a time the virgins arose to trim their lamps. They arose to pray and to study the word and the anointing was only on a few of them. Something was wrong in the Camp, but if you know your God there is nothing to worry about. Hear me church it is not a now thing, every day we have to set our house in order. “O for a closer walk with God.” Are we on that path, or journey to yonder wicket gate? If you have Christ in your vessel you can smile at the storms. You wait for that very calm moment to hear “Peace be still”. Many people fail to find that peace and serenity in their lives, because the are filled with envy, hatred, jealousy and stand in the way of progress. They are caught up in the luster and glamour of this world, lovers of pleasures more that lovers of God. Envious, men pleasers, boasters, false accusers of the brethren and many traits that hinder growth in ministry.

As the virgins arose to trim their lamps something happened. Five of the virgins had no oil in their lamps. They turned to the others and ask for some oil. I think it was too late at that time but they were told to go to those that sell and buy for yourselves. Ahhh, my loved ones in the dead of night they left to seek some place to get oil. All the money couldn’t get you what you want and it was to late. While they went seeking, the Bridegroom came and those that were ready went in to the Bridegroom’s chamber and the door was closed.Later the seekers of oil returned and were knocking on the door, saying “Lord, Lord open unto us.” But He answered them saying, “I know you not.”

My brothers and sisters in the Lord fear the Lord and keep His promised Word. He never fails and if, He promise that He is coming again be ready for in the hour you think not He is going to put in His appearance. Watch because no man know the minute or the hour when the Son of Man cometh. This is the day of the Lord hear my voice in these words I have written to you. This is the time no more delay, this is the Lord’s acceptable day. This is our time, our moment to get oil in our vessels. There is oil for the Patriarch, Archbishop, Bishops, Abbesses, Reverends, Captains, brothers and sisters, friends and well-wishers. The oil is no good to you if you don’t accept it. The lamp will not burn without the oil. So let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in Heaven.

This will we do our dying Lord and we must remember Thee. I love you and God bless.

Your Anointed servant,

Godfrey Gregg
