FROM OPPRESSION TO FREEDOM (RE-POST)

Last Weekend I stood in Spirit with the Spiritual Baptist Shouter Faith of Trinidad and Tobago as they celebrated their special day. My mystical brother Joseph Bridgewater shared many clips on Facebook and I will testify that God was in those celebrations. This is a day set aside by the Government to celebrate the end of oppression and slavery to worship openly. Let FREEDOM REIGNS. I will also like to thank all the organizers and the support for such a wonderful service. The invitation to The Mystical Order cans very late and therefore we had no representation there from New York.

This is the day that the Lord has made and we will rejoice and be glad in it, from the rising of the sun to the going down of the same. Let the Name of the Lord be praised. We thank God this morning for sparing our lives and waking us up to see this day. A day burst all the way from eternal ages, and to God be all the honour and the glory.
To Him who was and is now, and shall be forever The King of all kings, The Leadership of The Mystical Order of Spiritual Baptist here in New York and Trinidad, St. Croix and England I greet you with peace. The peace that passeth all understanding shall keep your hearts in tune with the anointing of the Holy Spirit.
This morning and throughout the day let us rejoice for the Lord is truly the King of our lives. Lift up your hearts ye everlasting gates and let the King of glory come in. Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty. A King mighty in battle. This morning I want you to join with me and ask God to break the yoke of sin that surrounds us, the pride in our lives, the dark spots, the veil that separates our spirit from the things of God, the hatred and jealousy, anything that now stands between us and our brothers and sisters and our God we are asking that those strong holds be broken today.
Come, every soul by sin oppressed;

There’s mercy with the Lord,
And He will surely give you rest

By trusting in His Word.

Those words should mean something to us as we seek out the Lord and make amends. All we have to do is to trust Him and He will give us the rest we need.
For too long, Spiritual Baptist were treated as criminals in very sane societies for worshipping their God. We were arrested, beaten and thrown in jail for our God given rights to worship Him. The more established churches who had the grip on the islands helped to draft the laws to oppress us. Hallelujah, for the battle is the Lord’s and the fullness thereof. Our foreparents never lost the hope to fight for the same rights as the Anglicans and Catholics. You see, our time is in the hands of God. They that wait on the Lord shall renew their strength, they shall rise up like an eagle. My God they shall not be weary and whatever they do shall prosper. Glory to our God. Eyes have not seen, nor ears heard the things that God has in store for His children that love Him and trust Him. His ways are past finding out.
Today we have all the rights and privileges as the other churches. If God is on our side let the Mystical House say AMEN. Let FREEDOM reigns. Never give up hope, what we do not accomplish here in our time; our children will receive even to the third and fourth generations. What we have to do now is to continue building on the foundation. A brick on a brick, a stone on a stone, love on love and our faith in God and His word. Jesus Christ being the chief cornerstone.
I am blessed to be a part of this unruly generation so that God can take me and make me something of honour. I know you feel the same sentiments as I do. We just have to let go of our lives and live for Him so God can perform the surgery to make us whole. I say that there is no time to go back to where we were, but to look ahead to the promises laid out for us in the Holy Scriptures. I trust that we continue to walk the beaten pathway not looking to the left or the right, for strait in the way and narrow is the gate that will lead us to Life Everlasting.
Have a great week and Let the Lord’s Name be blessed.
I am your servant,
Godfrey Gregg
