I am Thine, O Lord,
I have heard Thy voice
And it told Thy love to me,
But I long to rise
In the arms of faith
And be closer drawn to Thee.
Draw me nearer,
Nearer blessed Lord
To the cross where Thou hast died
Draw me nearer, nearer
Nearer, blessed Lord
To Thy precious, bleeding side.

O Jesus, I have promised to serve Thee to the end, be thou for ever near me my Master and my Friend; I shall not fear the battle if Thou art by my side, nor wander from the pathway if Thou wilt be my Guide. Heavenly Father, thanking you for sparing our lives to see another day, thanking you for all you have done, doing and yet to do for us; for this cause we glorify, honour, bless and uplift your Holy name. Lord we ask for your guidance, protection and blessings as we go about our busy day in Jesus Almighty name. Amen!

To the Patriarch, my Archbishop, Queen Abbess, all ministers, members and well wishers of The Mystical Order, I greet you in Jesus Almighty name. As the hymn writer declared; trust and obey for there’s no other way to be happy in Jesus but to trust and obey. Praise the Lord! Family in Christ, this being the first week in lent, let us be wary and hold fast to That Which is Good when the trials and tribulations arise. According to Matthew 4, as Jesus was led up of the spirit into the wilderness to be tempted, so too, you and I will face temptations throughout our spiritual journey and especially, a time like unto this (Lenten season). However, brothers and sisters there are passages in the bible to comfort every situation and soothe every pain. In the very book of Matthew 4, Jesus the Christ rebuked satan by using the words, “it is written”. Beloved, three times satan tried to gain glory over The Son of God, but Jesus triumphed and compelled satan to get thee hence and when satan departed, Angels came and ministered unto Jesus. Hallelujah! Praise the Lord! Saints of God as my headline stated “coping with trials” and as we learnt from our Sunday School days even to the banks of Jordan, we cannot walk into Jerusalem just like that. Children of The Most High, sometimes the trials start in our homes, could be our companion, our children or the neighbour. When we arrive at work, could be our co-worker, our supervisors and God forbid you are on the front line interacting with the public, Heaven help you. Then come Sunday and you think yes, after a rough week, you’re going to praise Almighty God and get a fresh supply of blessings in church, hellooo ! Brethren, these are just trivial matters we have to under go, compared to some prophets of old and Jesus the Christ.

Family in Christ may I remind us, once we made that decision to follow Jesus and worship Him in spirit and truth, trials and tribulations will come, but like the 121 Psalm teaches us, to lift up our eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh our help, our help cometh from the Lord, beloved if God be for us, who can be against us? Trials make us stronger and draws us closer to Jesus, without no cross, no crown. If everything is smooth and easy going, we will tend to forget The good Lord of Heaven. When the trials confronts us and friends and relatives abandon us, always remember to call on Jesus. As a matter of fact, put Jesus first in all our endeavours. Amen! As Almighty God promised Jacob in Genesis 28 : 15, “I am with thee, and will keep thee in all places, whither thou goest”. Also in Genesis we read where Joseph’s brothers sold him and he (Joseph) ended up in Egypt in Potiphar’s house, and the Lord was with Joseph and Joseph was a prosperous man. If Almighty God promised to be with Jacob and Joseph, He will be with us too. Brothers and sisters, Almighty God always keep His promises, is we who turns away from Him, is we who leans on our own understanding instead of waiting on directions from The Holy Spirit. Sometimes we fail in certain things, we accept it as a learning experience and still God thanks and praises, God is always in charge and knows best. Amen! Hallelujah! Praise the Lord!

In closing beloved, I hope that when the trials arise, we don’t ask why me God. His only begotten Son was tempted, so who are you and I? Aren’t we children of The True and Living God, so let us pray in season and out of season, so when the temptation come, we would not be running to and fro to find Jesus. I’m sure we know about the story about the five virgins who’s lamps were without oil. Amen! Almighty God we thank You for Your Word, we thank You that when we’re put to the test, we can stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage. We thank You for our elders in This Mystical Order, Lord many a time we (members) tempt and try them, but Master please bestow Your grace upon them, so they can cope with and overcome such trials in Jesus name. King of Zion, we pray for world peace, bearing in mind that Thy will must be done, but have mercy upon us oh Lord. Father of all from land and sea, we pray that You help us to keep Your precepts and Commandments throughout this Lenten Season and forever more in Jesus Almighty name. Amen! Amen! Amen!
So until we meet again, prove all things and hold fast to That Which is good.

Your humble servant,
His Eminence, Eric Alleyne. LOM OHPA OSM.
Cardinal of The Mystical Order.
Commanding Officer of The Mystical Court.
