BE WISE BUT CAUTIOUS (RE-POST)

alleyneHo, my comrades see the signal,
Waving in the sky;
Reinforcements now appearing,
Victory is nigh.
CHORUS:
Hold the fort, for I am coming,
Jesus signals still;
Wave the answer back to Heaven,
By Thy grace we will.
See the mighty host advancing,
Satan leading on;
Mighty men around us falling,
Courage almost gone.
We are together again praising the Lord, we are together again in one accord, something good is going to happen, I can feel it in my soul, we are together again praising the Lord! What a mighty God we serve! Heavenly Father, on our bending knees we come to You this morning, giving You thanks and praises for spared life and tender mercies, Lord we thank You for the air we breathe, the manner You sustain us with, our love ones, all material and spiritual things which You bless us with and most of all water — which not only quenches our thirst, but plays an important role in mankind existence. Master as we honour, glorify, bless and worship You this morning, we pray that You continue to extend Your mercies towards us and please guide, guard, protect and keep us throughout this day, till Thy Kingdom come. Amen!
A pleasant and wonderful morning to the Patriarch, my Archbishop, Queen Abbess, all ministers, members, friends and well wishers of The Mystical Order, I greet you in the wonderful name of Jesus. Brothers and sisters, from a teenager growing up, I always hear my mother and older folks use a term, “be wise as a serpent and harmless as a dove”. As I grew older and started perusing the Bible, I was astonished to behold the amount of times the words wise and wisdom were mentioned in the books of Proverbs. According to my subject at captioned and with the guidance of The Holy Spirit, today I will attempt to tread on this intriguing word — wise. In Psalm 111 we read, the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. In the books of Proverbs, I learnt a bright child makes a glad father but a wicked ambassador troubles the womb of its mother. In 1 Corinthians 3, I read, “if any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise”. The scripture continued, for the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness. Amen! However 2 Timothy 3 verse 15 states, “and that from a child thou hast known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus”. So brethren we see, that one must be rooted and grounded in the name of the Lord. One must be humble to be exalted, being wise is good, having wisdom is great, but one must have the understanding and be able to interpret the works and manifestations, being guided by The Holy Spirit. Hallelujah! Praise the Lord!
Saints of God in the preceding sentences, I tried to demonstrate that it’s o kay to have spiritual wisdom, Almighty God made everything good on this earth, but mankind uses situations, circumstances and opportunities to his own whims and fancies to manipulate people and events for his own personal gain, however Psalm 20 teaches us that he will be brought down and fallen, but the humble (wise) will rise up and stand upright in Jesus Almighty name. Stock of Abraham, please bear with me as I divulge a little on being cautious. There are many talented people who have not fulfilled their dreams, because they over thought it, or they were too cautious, and were unwilling to make the leap of faith. If one is forever cautious, can one really comprehend or experience what God has in store for them. A great writer once said, humanity has advance, when it has advance, not because it has been sober, responsible and cautious, but because it has been playful, rebellious and immature. In each action, we must look beyond that action at our past, present and future state, and at others whom it affects and see the relation of all those things, and then one should be able to ascertain through the guidance of The Holy Spirit if one should be wise or cautious. Brothers and sisters we have to place all our trust and faith in Almighty God, we must cry out, “Father I stretch my hands to Thee, no other help I know. If Thou withdraw Thyself from me whether shall I go”. Praise the Lord!
In closing brethren, do we recall the song, “fools rush in where Angels fear to tread”. I pray that we have learned something from this lesson, allow me to draw a contrast, it is good to have spiritual wisdom, it’s also wise to be cautious, but if one is too cautious and not venture into different realms, how would one know one’s potential and possibilities. Beloved please be guided accordingly, Almighty God gave us a choice, the straight and narrow road; or the broad road, so be wise but cautious. Almighty God we thank you for Your only begotten Son, who came and took away the sins of this world. Lord, I pray for my elders in This Mystical Order, keep them under the shadow of Your wings, remember all leaders of every nation, Master I pray for world peace, have mercy on the innocent people who are caught up in civil unrest in their various countries. King of Kings, humble us and make us know that You’re GOD, only You can create and only You can destroy. King Jesus, please have mercy on all of us, until we gather again in Your name. Amen! Amen! Amen!
God loves you so do I, so be wise but cautious.
Your humble servant,
His Eminence, Eric Alleyne. LOM OHPA OSM.
Cardinal of The Mystical Order.
