Our God, our help in ages past,

ab5Our hope for years to come,
Our shelter from the stormy blast,
And our eternal home.
Under the shadow of Thy throne
Thy saints have dwelt secure;
Sufficient is Thine arm alone,
And our defense is sure.
Before the hills in order stood,
Or earth received her frame,
From everlasting Thou art God,
To endless years the same.
Another day I come to you in the Name of the Lord and truly under the shadow of Thy Throne. Inspite of the physical conditions when pain rock this mortal body I can still say “It is well with my soul.” I thank God for His grace and love to me under these conditions and still able to function normally. The mission of the Church must go on, and as Paul prayed for us already the grace of God is sufficient to keep us from falling. In all the ways of the Lord we are going to acknowledge Him and let Him direct out path.
Yesterday morning I woke up very early because of pain but it allowed me to pray and sink myself deeper in the things of God. I thought of Elijah hungry and walking helplessly waiting for the command of God. I thought of the ways of God that are past finding out. I do not know the plan of God but want to stay in the perfect will of God. So the steps of the rights man are ordered by the Lord. (Say with me now “Order my steps Lord”) The thing with the Church today is that they walk in front the Spirit of God and they cannot see the steps. Therefore, there is nothing to follow. This morning I am saying to you “Order my steps Lord.”
Turn with me to the book of 1 Kings 17: 7-16 from which we will take our text for this morning message.
Elijah a man of God called by God to save life and we know there was a famine in the land. Bear with me and see what the Lord has in store for Elijah. “Order my steps Lord.” It was a bad famine in the land and people were starving, food was low and the water was about gone. As a matter Elijah was at the Brook where the Lord placed him and that too was dried up. Hence Elijah was ordered to go to the village. I want you to watch and see how the Lord works in mysterious ways and His wonders perform. Truly His ways are past finding out.
God will not lead us to a place where He cannot take care of us. That is why we have to walk behind Him and place our feet into His steps. Hallelujah, Elijah was very obedient and it did not matter the condition or situation. He was willing to go through the valley of the shadows yet looking up to the Hills from whence cometh his help. I say obedience to God is our survival in these harsh times. Take that one page from Elijah and watch to see the next piece of the puzzle come together. God works in ways we will never expect and many times we miss the message because we are caught up with jealousy, envy, malice, strife, evil communications and disrespect of the messenger. The Jews missed the birth of Christ because they had no respect for Mary the vessel that God the Father choose to carry His Son. They rejected Mary at the Inn and it was all in the perfect will of God. Go back to the birth of Moses (Exodus 2) and look at the will of God. We will never understand some of the things we do unless your eyes are anointed to see. Balaam (Numbers 22) wanted to curse the children of Israel so bad that he couldn’t see the angel with the sword in his pathway. So God used the animal to speak to him. Hallelujah for the Oneness of God our Father. I am still trying to understand why this email programme? Why this Internet Website (www.mysticalorderinc.org)? We may not know nor cannot tell but it is a reason, and until God reveals it I shall continue to have my steps ordered by the Lord.
As Elijah was walking his anointed eyes saw a woman in the distance. This is chart and compass come from Thee, Jesus Saviour pilot me. Watch to see where the steps of God is leading His servant. The chart says the woman and the compass points to the woman. Yes and the anointed eyes were on the woman. An old woman, her husband died and she was a widow with a young child. She had no food stamps nor was on welfare. She had to fend for herself. It was hard but with Christ in her vessel she was smiling at the storm. I love this lesson and how our steps should be ordered. You should be shouting “Order my steps Lord”. Shout “Order my steps Lord”. This is an email but I am getting into preaching at this point where all the ingredients for this miracle are coming together.
We see here the main ingredient is obedience for sustained life. Remember Elijah just came from the brook Cherith. As David said in the Psalm that man is like a tree planted by the river of living water. As long as there is water you have life, but when that water runs dry the search begins for another source and Paul tells us to search the Scripture for in them we will find life. So here Elijah approaches this woman who was gathering sticks. All she needed was two sticks to represent the word. You will recall how to make a bram fire, by crossing the sticks to form a cross and you light in the center. Hallelujah the fire begins in the heart of mankind.
Elijah greeted the woman and started a conversation. Remember her husband died and maybe she thought here is a man interested in her. Because she was free to married again so that would have taken a strain from her as the sole bread winner. She didn’t realized that her steps were ordered by the Lord. This was no coincidence that she and Elijah met at the same place at that time. ” Order my steps Lord” please God I ask of you this morning. Obedience and those anointed eyes met, the Word and the Spirit in the same place for a miracle. You have to be in the steps of the Lord for the Spirit to manifest. My God look at this revelation of two strangers but connected in Spirit. This is a witness Mystical people, hear me now ” Order my steps Lord”.
Prepare for your miracle. “Fetch me I pray thee, a little water in a vessel, that I may drink. (10) look at the obedience, the woman did not even question the man, but the Spirit of God was working. The sower had sworn some seeds in good ground and it immediately started to bear fruits. So while she was going to get the water Elijah called out again asking for a morsel of bread (bread of life). The conversation started to get to the place of miracle. In verse 12 “And she said, as the Lord thy God liveth, I have not a cake, but an handful of meal in a barrel, and a little oil in a cruse: and, behold, I am gathering two sticks, that I may go in and dress it for me and my son, that we may eat it, and die.” She laid the foundation but she was in obedience to the word. And in verse 13 “Elijah said unto her, Fear not; go and do as thou hast said: but make me thereof a little cake first, and bring it unto me, and after make for thee and thy son.”
We do not have because we don’t obey the word of God. Spiritual Baptist have to look to the word first and obey to have that financial miracle in our life. Give to the Lord first. (Go to http://www.mysticalorderinc.org) right now and make that donation and wait for your miracle. I did, and the least you do for Jesus is precious in His sight.
This is the meat of this message, the spoken word in verse 14 “For thus saith the Lord God of Israel, the barrel of meal shall not waste, neither shall the cruse of oil fail, until the day that the Lord sendeth rain upon the earth.” God is not slack concerning His promises. He said it and He will bring it to pass. You give today and God promise to give it back to you pressed down shaken together and running over. All you have to do my brothers and sisters on this Worthy Mystical Order is to be obedient to the word of God. Stand still and see the salvation of God. Where is your Elijah today? Where is your widow?
O, God order our steps today and plant us by the river of living water. Let us bring forth fruits in due season. Order our steps Lord. Help us to see your word and let the miracle take place in our lives. O, Elijah visit us in these times of need. Speak that word “Thus saith the Lord”, teach us obedience so the promises of God as declared in Thy word be manifested. AMEN
