My beloved brethren in the Lord, brothers and sisters of this worthy and noble Mystical Order. God is calling men to take His word to places where sinners can come and plunge beneath the flood. Lord, Give us men for this hour.
Ezekiel 22: 30
The prophet Ezekiel looked around him and looked at the condition of his day, and said, “I sought for a man… to stand in the gap.“
Awful conditions existed in Ezekiel’s day.
The king and his officials had discarded all standards of righteousness.
Doesn’t that sound familiar? The country was being plunged into chaos and destruction.
As we approach this election year in America, it is like a grim reminder of those days come to life again. Oh, Ezekiel was placed as a watchman to warn the nation of his time and God is calling men to do likewise today. As I look in the Caribbean and watch the political stages in the Islands that are troubling to the people. I ask myself where are the men and women to warn the people. Where are my brothers and sisters? Where is the voice of the Christian Council? Where is the voice of the Church? God raise up men and women and place them as watchmen to warn and save a nation of impending destruction. O, St. Vincent and the Grenadines. O, the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago. God where does Barbados stand with you . God hear the cries of the other islands.
Ezekiel knew the truth — that it is “righteousness that exalteth a nation.”
He also knew that sin is a reproach, a waste, and would destroy a nation or an individual.
Ezekiel looked about him for some capable and worthy man who could stand in the gap.
He looked for a man who could avert the crisis that was coming to his country. Lord what can we do today to avoid similar situation. O, America. O, America take warning because the hand writing of God is on the wall.
Then, the word of the Lord came unto him saying:
“I sought for a man among them, that should stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it; but I found none.”
All through the ages there has been the need for courageous and able men to stand in the gap. Today we are still looking and there is none found worthy. Oh, Hallelujah to the Lamb of God. Today I pray that those that are reading this message will answer the call and say “Here I am ” use me Lord. Equip me with all that is needed to be courageous to meet the needs of this struggle. O, God if ever there is a time we need you, it is now. Make us watchmen to warn the city of the impending danger that is about to befall this nation. O, God save Thy people and hear our cry. We need The every hour.
