Consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us. — Romans 8:18
My brothers and sisters in the Lord and in the power of His might I greet you with peace, not that the world giveth but that which passeth all understanding of man. Truly we are blessed to be on the land of the living to offer praise and thanks for another day. This morning I want to talk about our sufferings and sleep pattern.
The heart of the Christian story revolves around suffering. Jesus suffered on the Cross for our sin, providing a way of redemption for us sinners. Suffering is something none of us want to go through, yet we are all prone to at some time in our lives. My brothers and sisters in the Lord no one is free from hurting or suffering. Many people do not show it outwardly, but deep inside they are hurting more than you can imagine. That suffering and hurt are so compressed that at any moment it can explode.
Are you walking a difficult path through suffering right now? At times it may seem like there’s no end in sight, but don’t lose hope — for there is an end, there is always an end if you’re a believer. No matter what you are going through, do not give up the hope in you. Sometimes the people that are close to you are the ones that caused chaos in our lives and cause us sleepless nights. However, if you know how to handle it, you can overcome and live happily. On the other hand the enemy will have problems seeing you as an overcomer. Remember how he dealt with Job. I will talk about Job and his sufferings another time and about his faith as a strong believer.
If you’re having trouble sleeping because of your current state of suffering, be it physical, financial, emotional, or spiritual, be reminded of God’s holy Word and the messages of hope within.
While the heart of the Christian faith is about suffering, it also is about redemption. God takes broken things and makes them beautiful. Hallelujah. Look within yourself and you will never see anything perfect. That is the type of vessel that God wants to work on so give Him the opportunity to make something out of nothing. Surrender to Him and watch Him destroy your life and rebuild it to His honour and glory. Hear what the hymn writer said, “Break me, melt me, mold me and make me”. Hallelujah
He is the Creator of redemption. As you lie in bed wrestling with your suffering, it can be so hard — and seem almost cruel — to be told that your suffering will birth something beautiful. Yet the Lord speaks truth in His Word: although those who love Him often go through suffering, it can be a time to draw ever so close to the heart of the Lord. During times of suffering, death, pain, and darkness are turned to rebirth, healing, and light when you are part of the Christian story. My prayer for you is not to give up, there is a solution and it is found in the Blood of Jesus Christ. Praise the Lord.
As Christians, we are to expect suffering. In John 16:33, Jesus said, “In this world you will have trouble,” but He followed up that statement with a beautiful, hope-filled statement: “Take heart.” You may wonder, Why? Why should I take heart when my suffering is so acute? The answer is this: Jesus has overcome the world through the death He suffered on the cross. Because of His work on the Cross, you can have hope in your suffering. The Lord has overcome evil, and He will bring you to a place of splendor.
This morning my brothers and sisters, even in the middle of your suffering, take comfort in the words of the Lord, our Saviour. Know that your suffering will be painful, but the Lord’s ability to strengthen you during this time — even grieve with you in your pain — can help bandage up even the most broken of hearts. Your present suffering, dear brother or sister, will reveal a greater glory. Fall asleep feeling confident of the Lord’s plan for your life; He will use suffering for good — He promises. I will never leave you nor forsake you and you have to believe it. I am walking through that path as I write to you.Yet I have to believe He is a rewarder of those that diligently seek Him.
I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us. — Romans 8:18
And the God of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will Himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast. — 1 Peter 5:10
I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world. — John 16:33
Only believe for all things are possible. As I am writing I feel the burden of someone under the weight and suffering with cancer. The doctor told you that you don’t have much time to live, this morning we are going to bid the devil a liar. Yes a man and many loving people are around you and bearing you up in prayer. I am joining you this morning. I have a cousin that is stricken with the dreaded sickness of cancer we are reaching out on your behalf. O, God this morning we are standing in the gap for every one. This season of thanksgiving is our time and season because your sufferings are our pain and your hurt. I know you are hurting, but God is able to deliver if you will only believe all things will be possible.
Father God, be near me in my suffering today. My friends and relatives that are under the death sentence of some form of sickness. Lord The Mystical children are gathering today wherever they might be in oneness to pray and reach out to You in faith believing that You are the God of deliverance. It is sometimes hard for us to accept that suffering is a part of life, but it is comforting to know that You are with us always and are working all things together for good. Renew our tired spirit and continually put before us the hope each new day brings. O, God of Abraham, Jacob and Rebekah be the same God to (read the names of your sick loved ones) __________________________ this morning. Perform as You promised us that You will withhold no good thing from Your children. That is why we are meeting You three times every day this week from Sunday to Sunday. (20 to 27 March) We are reaching out to You at 6 am, midday and 6 pm. God we are doing this until you hear and answer us. Send us deliverance and
May you experience how deep and rich and wide the love of God can be in your life. May you see your present sufferings as nothing compared to the future glory that will be revealed in heaven. In the midst of your suffering, may you reach for God’s hand and cling to the redemptive work of the Father. Hold on never to let Him go until He has blessed your soul. Be desperate like the woman with the issue of blood that gained enough faith only to touch the hem of His garment. Jesus told her that her faith has made her whole. You can have that much faith as that woman this morning. So it and receive your blessings.
Thank You, Abba, for your perfect work. You take the ugly, painful suffering in this world and somehow turn it into beauty. You took the dust of the earth and fashioned it into human beings. You made the glorious, green earth out of nothing. and You will take my own personal struggles and make them into precious gems. Say Hallelujah for the work has been done. Go your way rejoicing and keep believing God.
