MAKE TIME FOR GOD

Have you any room for Jesus

He who bore your load of sin?

As He knocks and asks admission

Sinners, will you let Him in?

Room for Jesus, King of Glory!

Hasten now His Word obey

Swing the heart’s door widely open

Bid Him enter while you may.

Great is the Lord and greatly to be praised. A pleasant morning to my family in the Lord. Thanking Almighty God for spared life and tender mercies. Father, we honour, glorify and uplift Your holy name today, please comfort our families and friends as we go about this day in Jesus Almighty name. Amen!

Brothers and sisters, one of the hardest things to do, is to have a consistent daily time with God. Most of us have a schedule whereby we operate on a daily basis, however during that schedule other things crop up, requiring immediate attention, and most of the times we get these things done. Is it amazing how Almighty God grant us the ability to multi-task and function effectively and efficiently when the situation arises? Do we ever thank Him for these talents or do we spend a quiet moment of meditation in His name?

Brethren let us seek Him while He may be found, call upon Him while He is near, we must make time for God, for we are not the keeper of ourselves. It is He who made us and not we ourselves. Look at all the privileges, opportunities and liberties He bestows on us. Yes, there are lots of worldly pleasures and distractions, but brother Paul speaking to the people of Rome said,  that we must not be conformed to this world, but let us be transformed by the renewing of our minds. Hallelujah! Christian friends, our minds are very powerful, some of us do not know the infinite power that we could possess if we meditate day and night on the Lord. Believers, if we make time for God, when the trials and temptations arise we would not worry about “Thou art with me”, Thy rod and Thy staff, they comfort me. Praise the Lord!

Making time for God, we become doers of the word and not hearers. Brothers and sisters, a few minutes of every day is not asking too much for Almighty God. I know some of us do it in various ways; by reading God’s word (Bible), fasting and praying, silent meditation, hymns of adoration or Psalms of praises. Whatever way we choose, we must make time for God. Spending time with God puts everything else in perspective (St Matthew 6 verse 33). Amen!

In closing, what God is saying to us today is that He wants to spend time with us, He loves and cares about us so much that He sent His only begotten Son to die for us, God wants to talk to us. Are we listening? Are we making time for God?

Until we meet again, God’s blessings. Shalom!

Your humble servant,

His Eminence, Eric Alleyne. LOM. OHPA. OSM.
