Hallelujah for the morning rising sun and this present time and hour. We are blessed to be o the land of the living to offer praise and thanks for the sparing of our lives and for manifesting Himself among us. We are a people called to be true worshippers of the Kingdom and we have to live with the hope and the purpose for our calling. Let us read again Matthew 6:25-34.
Sometimes we act too much like unbelievers. When we think like the world and crave what is in the world, we will worry like the world, because a mind that is not centered on God is a mind that has cause to worry. God expects more of us. God expects us to be different from others. Yes, we are a new creation my brothers and sisters. “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:6-7).
Will ever Christians go through hard times? We all know what the answer is…yes. Will we suffer trials and tribulations?…Yes. Will God be there to carry us through hard times in our lives?…YES! Will the government, Prime Minister or the next president solve our problems?…of course not. As we face one of the hardest economics crisis in America and the melt down in the Caribbean, the most important presidential election in history and the elections in the small islands; we must not let fear grip our heart. I truly believe that for those who have been faithful, God will sustain you IN TIMES LIKE THESE. But you have to trust Him.
It is time for us as servants of the Lord, to arise and have faith in the God we serve. No matter what the financial analyst does or Who is our next president or Prime Minister, we are commanded by God to pray for our country and our leaders. My brothers and sisters we can have hope because we know even though we live in this world, we are not of this world. The Scripture declares,”Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this” (Isaiah 9:7).
