A pleasant morning to all my brothers and sisters in Christ, this is the day the Lord hath made, so let us rejoice and be glad in it. For it is He — who had made us and not we ourselves, so let us come before His presence with songs of praises, hymns of adoration and lift up His Holy name in prayers. Amen. Almighty God, we thank You for another opportunity whereby we can glorify Your name, Father we thank You for spared life and tender mercies, we pray and ask for Your protection, guidance and blessings as we traverse this day in Jesus Almighty name. Amen!

To our Patriarch and Bishop of Starlight of Israel healing School, my Archbishop, Crowned Queen Abbess, all ministers, members, friends and families of The Mystical Order of Spiritual Baptist Inc 2012, I greet you in the precious name of Jesus. Family in Christ, yesterday (September 7th 2015) was labor day for us who reside in the USA, but for the people of Trinidad and Tobago, it was an important day in their lives, because it was their general elections and the outcome will determine which party will run the country for another five years. Now, before I go any further, I try to stay away from the political and religious arena, because every individual has their own views and opinions. However, I myself am wondering what I’m getting into here with the subject at caption, where does religion come in with recreation and politics?

Beloved in Christ, we always hear the term, “all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy”. So here we see, some sort of recreation is compulsory for mankind to maintain stability in one’s existence. Nevertheless, most of the times when these events arise, we (mankind) create problems causing fatalities and resulting with the law stepping in. Why can’t we have fun without hurting each other or under close supervision of the law? Is it our nature, where and when did we adopted this kind of behavior? Can we change this kind of approach and have clean recreation? Is there something missing? Do we pray and invite the Holy Spirit preceding these events, to take charge?

Please forgive me for this introduction, but many years ago, Calypso Maestro sang “Trinidadians ain’t really know what they want”. Family and friends I must say this again, I know little or nothing about politics, but being born in the lovely Island of T&T, I observe my people dying daily for lack of knowledge, (opinion of writer only). We have become so rebellious, disobedient, boasters, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God, (2 Timothy chapter 3), that if Good Friday fall on ash Wednesday, we (trinis) accept it. Beloved we (Trinibagonians) have turned away from God and expect our elected politicians to fix the current situation facing our country. Yes, we elect them, but if they themselves don’t seek guidance and knowledge from a higher source (Almighty God) sad will be our potion. We have to look to Jesus and live, as was told to Solomon by Almighty God (2 Chronicles 7 verse 14). Amen!

In closing beloved, we can conclude that, without Jesus in our lives we become like sounding brass or tinkling cymbal. In order for us to enjoy recreation and the politicians to perform in their capacity of work, we need the Alpha & Omega, who’s The Beginning and The End, also The First & The Last. We have tried for many years to perform on our own, but have failed; so why don’t we place everything in the hands of Almighty God — our Creator, and He will direct us. Amen! 
Heavenly Father, we thank You for another blessing today, we thank You for our Advocate — King Jesus. Lord we pray that You soften our stony hearts, whereby allowing the Holy Spirit to enter and take charge. Master, please remember our elders in The Mystical Order, give them the necessary tools to assist us on our spiritual journey. King of Zion, have mercy on the people of Trinidad and Tobago, let them know all things are possible with You. Master, take charge of us and our brothers and sisters around the world, help us to tarry in Jesus name until that great day of Salvation. Amen!
