We are together again, praising the Lord; we are together again, in one accord; something good is going to happen, I can feel it in my soul; we are together again, praising the Lord. Hallelujah! Praise the Lord! Thank you Jesus! Giving honour, glory, thanks and praises to the great Tetragrammaton for sparing our lives, whereby we can congregate to worship in spirit and in truth. Heavenly Father, we thank You for this day, and we pray that You guide, guard, bless and feed us with food fit for our existence. Amen!

To our Patriarch and Bishop of Starlight of Israel Healing School, my Archbishop, Crowned Queen Abbess, all ministers, members, friends and families of The Mystical Order of Spiritual Baptist Inc 2012, I greet you in Jesus Almighty name. Family in Christ, last week I spoke about the “bread of life”, mainly on bread. Today with God’s willing, I would like to try and examine the word “life”. Bear with me for again I’ll be referencing St John’s chapter 6. The letter “L” is for the love of God (John 3 verse 16). “L”, also means listen; for many a time we hear the word but we don’t listen (adhere to the word)(pay attention) or trust God’s word (lack of faith). We {God’s children} are like the people in John 6, we listen to the word but are not happy with what we hear, because it may have some bearing on us and we conclude that the speaker is directing the message towards us (throwing words). We are very quick to judge the speaker, and not use the occasion to do some spiritual cleansing. Amen! Instead of the people listening to Jesus they started to complain, just like us, and we’re very selective in the things we want to listen to. Lord have mercy!
The second letter in life “I”, teaches us that Jesus said, “I am the bread of life”, “I am the light of this world”, “I am the good shepherd”, “I am the resurrection and the life”, “I am the way, the truth, and the life”, “I am the true vine”. All these sayings were challenging to Jesus listeners, for Jesus was preaching that it is faith in Him, but the people were focusing on Jesus — the son of Joseph, whom they know. We as Christians, should place our faith in the personal relationship we have with Christ Jesus. Amen! My hope is built on nothing less, than Jesus’ blood and righteousness.
“F” reminds us that Jesus gives us food. The feeding of the five thousand had been about food for the body and mind, but Jesus said whosoever feed from His body will inherit eternal life. As Almighty God provides food on a daily basis for us, let’s pray and ask Him to continue to provide spiritual food to sustain us on our spiritual journey. Many of us know that there are trials, distractions, and earthly vanities along the way, but according to the type of food we consume, decides how long we tarry, and our destination. Praise the Lord!
The letter “E” is for eternal or everlasting life. In John 3 verse 16, we read about the conditions for obtaining everlasting life. In the preceding verse we saw the same condition for eternal life, which is believing in Christ Jesus. We read the scriptures, we hear God’s word, some of us have the privilege to stand in front of a congregation to deliver God’s word, but how many of us like Martha can say (John 11 verse 27),yeah Lord, I believe that Thou art the Christ, the Son of God, which should come into the world. Hallelujah!
In closing, may the word “life” breathe fresh life (hope) into us, may it be a revival or a renewing of the covenant we made with Almighty God. When we wake up every morning, may the word “life” have a new meaning each day. May the word “life” means Lord what can I do for You today, and not what You can do for me. Amen! Heavenly Father, we thank You for another blessing today, we thank You for The Way, The Truth and The Life. Master please remember our elders of The Mystical Order, grant them life with favour and may Your visitation preserve their spirit like You did Job, (Job 10 verse 12). God of Abraham, please wash us throughly from our iniquity and cleanse us from our sin, create in us a clean heart, O God, and renew a spirit of “life” within us, so we can be examples, for others to come to Thee. King of Zion, have mercy and compassion on Your children around the world, and breathe that breath of “LIFE” into us, so we can tarry until that great day of Salvation, in Jesus Almighty name. Amen!
Your humble servant,
His Eminence, Eric Alleyne. LOM. OHPA. OSM.
Cardinal of The Mystical Order.
Commanding Officer of The Mystical Court.
