His Beatitude Sir Godfrey Gregg DD

Patriarch Sir Darrindel,  Your Beatitude Dr Jacinta Albert-Patrick,  brothers, sisters, friends and well wishers greetings.  Join with me and give the Lord some praise today just for waking us up to see another day

Our Scripture reading is taken from the Book of 2 Timothy 4:1-4

I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom; 2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine. 3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; 4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

Paul here gives Timothy, his son and co-laborer in the Gospel, a charge to preach sound doctrine; the Word of God and nothing else! Paul is speaking not only to Timothy, but to all who confess Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour. The Great Commission in Matthew 28 is given to every believer. Preacher or not! Title, office holder, or just a follower,  the commission is for you. For the church regardless what is your position, the charge is to live godly and preach the word of God.

The opportunity to preach/teach the Word of God is greater than it has ever been. We have churches on every corner, bibles, internet, cellphones, computers, laptops, etc. The opportunity to spread the Gospel is available 24/7. We are without excuse! Hear me now my brothers and sisters all my Clergy, you are inexcusable before God. This is not time to blame another for your failures. This is the time to preach the word and forget your position. I am doing my part via emails and the internet.

The Word of God is a “love” tool of correction, comfort, hope and encouragement for us all from God. It reproves, rebukes and exhorts. It brings about the instructions we need to live this christian life God has called us to live. Are we willing to make the move to be better men and women of God … The hour is upon us and the world is watching us closely.

Paul Commands Timothy to preach faithfully and without looking for any pat on the back from anyone, but know that in doing so, He is pleasing God. We are not accountable for getting people saved, only for preaching the Gospel. Apostle Paul spoke these words in 1 Corinthians 3:6 I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase. All you have to do is to live right and preach the word, God will save the lost. It is really not your duty, and it ever it is then your life must be that gospel.

As believers, saints, people of God, Christians, etc we are all called to be witnesses for Christ. This means that everyday, we must take advantage of every door of opportunity that God opens for us to spread the Gospel. It is not for friendship or for gains it is a duty to minister or preach to the lost and dying. Believe that those who hears the word will come to the saving grace of God. You would have done your part to preach that is your command. In other words, you have a “Charge” to keep and a God to glory!

Indeed we are living in perilous times. A time when the truth is not wanted, a time when wrong has become right and right has become wrong. A time where people are living according to what is right in their own eyes. Saints, brothers and sisters; Perilous times are upon us! Many people want the Gospel their way and nothing else will please them. They walk in their own ways and forget what the word of God says. I remember long ago Baptist at the street corner singing “follow the Master’s footsteps every where He goes.” Unfortunately we don’t hear these trumpets anymore. Today I am calling you back yo your first love and sing the wondrous story of the lamb by and by.

If Christ returns today, what will He catch us doing? How will He find us? In what condition will He find us? In what service will He find us working? Will He find us fulfilling our charge in spreading the Gospel? What will Jesus find us doing? This is indeed a question for all of us to ponder. I can only hope and pray that you are fulfilling it with the help of the Holy Spirit and every fiber of your being.

God bless and do tell the Lord thank you for considering you worthy of spreading His Gospel. Go forth now and spread the Good News of Jesus Christ! You are no longer with excuse!

I love you all with the love of Christ. May Almighty God bless and keep us, may He bless The Mystical Order and Starlight of Israel.  God I ask that you bless and anoint our Patriarch in your most Holy Name.
