FROM THE DESK OF THE CARDINAL

Sir Eric Alleyne

In the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. What a friend we have in Jesus, all our sins and griefs to bear, what a privilege to carry everything to God in prayer. Almighty God, this morning we thank you for the dawning of a new day, we thank you that we’re still on the land of the living and for this cause, we honour, glorify, worship and uplift your Holy name. Master as we take a closer walk with You, we pray for a calm and Heavenly frame, alight to shine upon the road, that leads us to you King Jesus. Lord, as we go about our busy chores today, we pray that You feed us with Your Heavenly Manner and give us the Living Water to sustain us throughout this day and forever more. Amen! Thank you Jesus! Hallelujah!
To the Patriarch, my Archbishop, Queen Abbess, all ministers, members, friends and well wishers of The Mystical Order, I greet you in the mighty name of Jesus. Beloved for God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Christian family and friends, today I want to try and demonstrate, Obedience, Fear of God and Faith in a short lesson. In Genesis 22, Almighty God called Abraham and told him to take his only son — Isaac, whom Abraham loved very much — and go to the land of Moriah and offer Isaac there as a burnt offering upon on of the mountains which God shall show unto Abraham. Brothers and sisters, although we confess to be children of the Most High, which one of us can adhere to such a calling from the Lord? Obedience is Heaven first law. Beloved, Abraham never murmured, when he first heard the call from Almighty God, he said behold, here I am. Saints of God, Abraham was obedient to the voice of God, he rose up early the next morning and journeyed with two of his young men, Isaac, the wood for the burnt offering and saddled his donkey for this occasion. Proverbs 9 verse 10 teaches us that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, Abraham feared Almighty God. After journeying for three days, Abraham came to the place the Lord had showed him, he then told the two young men to abide here with the donkey and himself and Isaac would go yonder and worship the Lord and will return. Abraham then took the wood for the fire, place it upon Isaac, a knife and the necessary material for making the fire and he and Isaac tarried further. Isaac then said to Abraham, my father, I behold the fire and the wood but where is the lamb for the burnt offering? Abraham answered, my son, God will provide Himself a lamb for the burnt offering. Here we see faith, the substance of things hoped for the evidence of things not seen. How many of us exercises such faith in the Lord? (example) You wake up one morning with an issue, and as a God fearing child, you put it to the Lord in pray, knowing that something have to be resolved before the setting of the sun, this is the kind of faith Abraham had in Almighty God. Abraham then came to the appointed place which God had told him of and he built an altar, laid the wood on it, then bound Isaac and laid him on the wood upon the altar. As Abraham was about to slay Isaac with his knife for the offering, an Angel of the Lord called out of Heaven to Abraham and said, Abraham, Abraham and as always obedient he said here am I. The Angel told Abraham, lay not thine hand upon the lad, neither do anything unto him, because you (Abraham) have showed that you fear God, seeing that you have not withheld thy son, thine only son from God. Abraham then saw a ram caught in the thicket by his horns, he then took the ram and offered it up as a burnt offering instead of his son. Hallelujah! Praise the Lord!
Beloved the lenten season is upon us, and as the festivities are coming to a close, I pray that my brothers and sisters who journeyed or who were in and around the festivities carried about themselves as children of The Light. I’m not promoting revelling, nor am I being cynical nor hypocritical, most of us are from the twin Island of Trinidad and Tobago, so the festive blood is still flowing in our veins, however let us use this energy for promoting the name of Jesus wherever and whenever we can. ( I hope I don’t take a beating from my Archbishop for the aforementioned in the same paragraph). Nevertheless brethren, let God be true and every man a liar.
In closing beloved, I pray that we read Genesis 22 and grasp a better understanding of Jehovah Jireh, which is to say ” the Lord will provide”. I pray that we try to be like Abraham, so when we hear the voice of the Lord, we obey, fear Him — who can create and destroy, but have faith in Him. Also we must trust and obey, for there is no other way, to be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey. I pray that as we fast and pray throughout this lenten season, that we become better stewards of Almighty God, I pray that we learn to be more tolerable with our brothers and sisters, I pray that we stop judging each other, I have not walked in your shoes, so I should judge not. I pray for our elders in This Mystical Order, may the good Lord of Heaven continue to bless and envision them to take this ministry to higher heights. Almighty God, I pray that You plant us by the river of waters, so that we can bring forth fruits in due season. King of Zion all these and more blessings we pray for in Jesus Almighty name. Amen! Amen! Amen!
Until we meet again, God loves you so do I, so let’s obey, fear God but have faith in Him.
Your humble servant,
His Eminence Eric Alleyne.  LOM  OHPA  OSM.
