Sir Godfrey Gregg D.Div

“And it shall come to pass, as soon as the soles of the feet of the priests that bear the ark of the Lord, the Lord of all the earth, shall rest in the waters of Jordan, that the waters of Jordan shall be cut off from the waters that come down from above; and they shall stand upon a heap.” (Joshua 3:13).

Brave Levites! Who can help admiring them, to carry the Ark right into the stream; for the waters were not divided till their feet dipped in the water (ver. 15). God had not promised aught else. God honours faith. “Obstinate faith,” that the PROMISE sees and “looks to that alone.” You can fancy how the people would watch these holy men march on, and some of the bystanders would be saying, “You would not catch me running that risk! Why, man, the ark will be carried away!” Not so; “the priests stood firm on dry ground.” We must not overlook the fact that faith on our part helps God to carry out His plans. “Come up to the help of the Lord.”

The Ark had staves for the shoulders. Even the Ark did not move of itself; it was carried. When God is the architect, men are the masons and labourers. Faith assists God. It can stop the mouth of lions and quench the violence of fire. It yet honours God, and God honours it. Oh, for this faith that will go on, leaving God to fulfill His promise when He sees fit! Fellow Levites, let us shoulder our load, and do not let us look as if we were carrying God’s coffin. It is the Ark of the living God! Sing as you march towards the flood!

One of the special marks of the Holy Ghost in the Mystical Church was the spirit of boldness. One of the essential qualities of the faith that is to attempt great things for God, and expect great things from God, is holy audacity. Where we are dealing with a supernatural Being, and taking from Him things that are humanly impossible, it is easier to take much than little; it is easier to stand in a place of audacious trust than in a place of cautious, timid clinging to the shore.

Likewise, seamen in the life of faith, let us launch out into the deep, and find that all things are possible with God, and all things are possible unto him that believeth.

Let us, today, attempt great things for God; take His faith and believe in them and His strength to accomplish them.

  1. Any stone or object witnessing against me because of any evil covenant, I command you to scatter in Jesus name.  Genesis 31: 48 – 49.
  2. Any pillar that has been erected and witnessing against me, I command you to scatter in Jesus name.  Genesis 31: 52.
  3. Any boundary that has been set in my father’s house and in my mother’s house which no one should cross, I command you to scatter in Jesus name. Genesis 31: 52.
  4. Anything that has been stolen by anyone in my father’s house, in my mother’s house, in my village or in anywhere I have visited that has brought a curse upon my life, I render that curse null and void with the power in the blood of Jesus. Genesis 31: 30 – 32, 34.
  5. Any wrong anyone has committed that brought a general punishment and pains to everyone in my family or anywhere I have visited, I render it null and void with the blood of Jesus and I disengage myself and my family away with the power of the Holy Ghost in Jesus name.          Genesis 34: 15 – 26.
  6. Any action or character that has been displayed to anyone in my family, in my street, in my village or anywhere I have visited that brought defilement to everyone in my family, I cancel it with the blood of Jesus.  Genesis 34: 13 – 14.
  7. Any household enemy that has been and will be against the manifestation of my dreams, I bind you in the name of Jesus.  Genesis 37: 6 – 11
  8. Father, let the angels of my destiny locate me and direct me to the right direction of my destiny in every area of my life that I am wandering about in Jesus name.   Genesis 37: 11 – 17.
  9. Any arrow fired against my garment of favor that the Lord has put on me, I return it back to the sender in the name of Jesus.  Genesis 37 : 3
  10. Every spirit that want to destroy the gift God has given to me, I command them to receive the fire of God in the mighty name of Jesus. Genesis 39 : 3.
  11. Every spirit that destroys people’s destiny in my family will never destroy my destiny in Jesus name.  Genesis 39: 7.
  12. Every spirit of false accusation, I command you to receive the fire of God in Jesus name.    Genesis 39: 14-15.
  13. Every spirit that will make my helpers forget me, I command you to crash land by the power in the blood of Jesus.  Genesis 40: 23.
  14. Father, let the light of greatness that You have put in me shine to Your own glory. Give me the wisdom and understanding to speak to anyone whom You want me to speak to no matter the level of that person so that my light can manifest in the Mighty name of Jesus Christ.    Genesis 41: 40.

“Therefore said he unto them, The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few: pray ye, therefore, the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest.” (Luke 10:2).

Prayer is the mighty engine that is to move the missionary work. “Pray ye, therefore, the Lord of the harvest that He will send forth labourers into His harvest.”

We are asking God to touch the hearts of men every day by the Holy Ghost so that they shall be compelled to go abroad and preach the Gospel. We are asking Him to wake them up at night with the solemn conviction that the heathen is perishing, and that their blood will be upon their souls, and God is answering the prayer by sending persons to us every day who “feel that the King’s business requireth haste.” Are you one that has answered the call?

Beloved, pray, pray, pray; and as the incense rises to the heavens, “there will be silence in heaven” by the space of more than half an hour, and the coals of fire will be emptied out upon the earth, and the coming of the Lord will begin to draw nearer. Pray till the Lord of the harvest shall thrust forth labourers into His harvest.

Sir Godfrey Gregg D.Div

“But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light;” (I Peter 2:9).

We have been thinking lately very much of the strange way in which God is calling a people out of a people already called. The word ecclesia, or church, means called out, but God is calling out a still more select body from the church to be His bride–the specially prepared ones for His coming.

We see a fine type of this in the story of Gideon. When first he sounded the trumpet of Abiezer there resorted to him more than thirty thousand men; but these had to be picked, so a first test was applied, appealing to their courage, and all but ten thousand went back; but there must be an election out of the election, and so a second test was applied, appealing to their prudence, caution and singleness of purpose, and all but three hundred were refused; and, with this little-picked band, he raised the standard against the Midianites, and through the power of God won his glorious victory. So, again, in our days, the Master is choosing His three hundred, and by them, He will yet win the world for Himself. Let us be sure that we belong to the “out and out” people.

Brethren whatever is taking place now is for a reason to fulfill the will and plan of God. The buildings called churches are filled with people but where are they going is my question? What are the motivation and purpose? Why are you there? Who called you to the gathering? So many questions with so few answers from man or the mainstream. Make sure your election is sure and bless the Lord.
